If your side-view mirror is the type that has electrically operated mirror glass, an internal deicing / defrosting heater or a lamp for cornering / directional light, it may be malfunctioning. Make sure that any switch used to control the device(s) is on an "off" position and not stuck. If the control or switch was exposed to water due to an open window, etc., allow time to dry completely.
A motorized device that is buzzing usually indicates that it can not move any further - even though it is being commanded to continue (via switch or sensor). If allowed to remain to be powered, the car battery may be discharged, the motor could fail, the switch or wiring could overheat and fail - and in the worst case scenario - cause a fire.
If it stops buzzing and no longer functions, it may have opened the fuse. If you are unable to stop the buzzing noise, you should have a mechanic look at and repair it. I hope this helps and good luck!
It should be positive to positive, negative to negative - parallel, not serial.
The simple way to tell is by how many cables you have. If you've got one positive and one negative, and only one jumper, it's a 24 volt system and should be connected in serial. If you've got one positive and one negative and two jumpers, it's a 12 volt system, and should be connected parallel.
If in doubt, connect up in parallel and test things. If everything works, it's a 12 volt system and you're good to go. If everything doesn't work (lights are dim, inverter doesn't give AC, etc.), it's a 24 volt system and you need to change to serial.
Serial - positive to system connection on battery 1, negative on battery 1 to positive on battery 2, negative on battery 2 to system negative.
Parallel - positive on battery 1 connects to positive on battery 2 and the system positive, negative on battery 1 connects to negative on battery 2 and the system negative.
i would check the relays and fuses , as the windows and electric mirrors and interiror light are all on the same circuit , usually. But you dont say what make and model of car it is Plus you placed it under gps devices
Be A MAN Fix It" Take Decale off Says Garmin Model Number ect...exposes 2 screws, Remove Screws, The Frame around screen has plastic anchors that sit in Slotted groves completely around frame so work on the end that doesnt have on/off power switch and take small straight edge gently pry out and up once begains to open up take and put 2nd screw driver in as wege now goto the other side right or left and do the same, now work around the garmin and stop when you get to end with the power switch do the other side once you start on the end with the power switch watch the power button which is held inplace by the Garmin frame and has slot that the power button sits in Note: the Curve side will go in first when reassembly, once opened you will see 2 connectors 1 a 2-wire speaker and on the back side of the board a 3 -wire battery now the monitor has tape accross the conector and i just remove the tape like opening a Christmas Present and the locking door will rotate up toward your face...That is About it Have Fun Have Fun the frame will snap together if circuit board is dusty use a 2" paint brush and blow dust off while brushing ....
Here is what I do. I clean the spot on the windshield very good with Windex or another good window cleaner. I also clean the suction cup surface while I am doing the windshield. Next I place the GPS next to the Rearview Mirror. and connect the suction cup. Then I take the power cord and use it to tie a knot around the suction cup mount and then I loop it around the Rearview mirrow twice leaving no slack between the GPS and the Mirror. Be sure to not block you view in the mirror. If the GPS come loose from the windshield it will just fall far enough for the power cable to catch it and will just be swiing there instead of falling to the dashboard or floor. This is kind of a Mickey Mouse way to do things but it works.
To perform a soft reset, please follow the steps below.
1.Press and hold the ?Mode? button in.
2.While holding ?Mode? press ?Lap? also.
3.Hold both ?Mode? and ?Lap? together for around 5-7 seconds.
After you have done this release the buttons and try turning the unit on. If the unit doesn?t turn on try putting it on the charger and repeat.
