What kind of foot switch to turn electric screw driver either forward or reverse direction

I have an electric screw driver with power supply information (100 - 240 V/AC, input 50-60 Hz, 1.8 A, output 24 - 36V/DC). I don't want to use hands to turn motor, instead, I like to use a foot switch to do start to turn clockwise, off, start to turn counter-clockwise, or vise visa.

The engine is running but does not have power.

If the generator has been sitting for a long time or was shut off with the load connected it has likely lost the residual magnetism that is required to excite the winding. This is a common problem. Always disconnect the load from the generator before stopping the engine!

The generator needs to be flashed. There are several was to achieve this, but safest would be to use an electric drill.
  • Connect an older style portable 120 volt drill to the running generator.
  • Make sure the drill is in forward not reverse
  • With the switch depressed rotate by hand the chuck of the drill in reverse
  • careful, the generator will flash, power up and rotate the drill in the forward direction..
Hope this helps?

  • Careful the generator will flash the windings and power up the drill

How do i set up electric tyco train set- model 899v hobby transformer?

There are 2 wires from the transformer to the power rail screws on the track. Hook up the wires and watch the direction the engine moves when you move the lever to forward. If the engine moves in reverse, either swap the wires or turn the engine around on the track.

Wireing a 24 volt go cart

Obviously will need more details on what you have there already Tom, but with DC current, in order to reverse direction, you simply reverse polarity. Take a power window on a car as an example: Although 12 volt, same basic idea and principles apply. When you hit the switch in one direction, + power is sent to window motor through one wire, and negative through the other wire. When you hit switch in opposite direction, the wire that was showing + 12 volts, now becomes ground, and the wire that was ground (-) will show 12 v + current flowing. The reversing of polarity (current) is done withing the switch and how it's wired. So basically, if you take the 2 wires going to motor, and reverse them, the motor should turn in opposite direction.

Please try to locate the forward/reverse push button switch. Please try also referring to your users guide. Forward/reverse has a different or separate switch. Thanks for asking.

My winch won't work anymore...there is a clicking noise and winch wont turn....I check the connection and its good.

Take your voltmeter and verify your voltage at the switch. If it is 11.5 or better, try reversing the motor. Reverse direction requires less ampreage to run and should work fine, then try forward or wind.

Panasonic EY7540 impact driver. Does not go into reverse on 1st

The forward/ reverse switch is hanging up and the rotation of the drill is switching it, then it changes direction. The switch needs a little TLC and a good cleaning. Blow it out.
