Question about Kitchen Ranges
So the saga started last night when we tried to put our oven (Frigidaire professional series cplgf390dcb) into self clean mode for the first time. Got a F9 error, so tried resetting the breakers. After this, the display flashes "Door locked" and oven is completely inoperable. The locking latch is MOVING back and forth from the lock to unlock position (display still says "door locked"). I have tried to push all combinations of buttons, and have called the company but nothing has helped. The locking latch is still moving from lock to unlock back to lock, etc. I've scoured the internet but no one seems to be having this problem. I tried resetting the breakers again, but nada. Suggestions?
Regardless of the course of action you are taking to fix your problem, especially if it involves opening the oven, start off by thoroughly examining the user manual first:

Check the wiring to the lock.

SOURCE: Oven door won't unlock
I had the same problem on my Kenmore Electric Range. Door would not unlock. Tried pressing "Off" for multiple seconds, but still would not unlock. No error codes. Clock was displaying normally. Finally decided to try running it thru the self cleaning operation to get it to cycle thru locking and unlocking the door. When I started self clean, the door automatically went thru the auto lock and "locked" appeared in the display. I then hit "Off" to clear it and stop the cleaning cycle. The door then unlocked as normal!

your model number confirms that your range was manufactured by WCI (Frigidaire). although this doesn't help you now, it may help if parts are needed.
now, there is an indepth guide online to fixing this common problem and I would like you to go through it and see if it helps you solve your problem.
If you have found this site previously then I apologise, if you still need help, by all means post again and someone more qualified may help.
Hope this is of use to you ;)

sounds as if there is a problem with the latch assy, there are 2 switches mounted on the latch mechanism for monitoring positon of hte switches, seems as if one has gone bad, not recognizing the door lock positon therfore continues to rotate without stop.part number for the motor latch assy w/switch and bracket 318095957 . located behind rear panel

Hello Walter Buford - Try resetting the range by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately 30 seconds and turn on the unit. Select the self-clean option or bake/broil option. If it does not turn on, then the temperature may have tripped the internal sensor of the unit and needs to be reset. This usually has to be done by a professional since the back panel needs to be taken off and the power reset inside. Possibly the unit may have a communication problem with the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) or faulty element(s). Personally, I would recommend contacting a professional for further evaluation.
