The trigger activates a switch that activates the solenoid. You can test the solenoid with leads it will click if it is working with 110v leads. Warning the pump is not 110v is is 12v it has a rectifier in the machine.

I push the trigger and no water comes out

the trigger must made contact to a solenoid valve inside the steamcleaner , open the steamer and measure the solenoid if there is power on , lime could be the problem. open the solenoid and clean the spring and metal piece so it moves again close open normally you can hear it.

Water will not spray on my Bissell Proheat 2x Carpet cleaner

proheat 9300

assuming the water will flow with the tool attachement but not to the carpet.

Remove the water tank. You will see 2 red tabbed plastic spray tubes.(where the spray comes out if not clogged) Pinch the clips to remove from the machine. Then you will need to pinch the hose clips to remove the red tabs from the hose. Clean out those red spray nozzles. Next step: have a towel ready and fill the solution tank with water. Put the solution (not water) tank on to where the water tank would go. Place the machine selection knob to rinse/wet only. Now with towel under the hoses that you removed the red tabs. Turn on the machine and pull the trigger to activate the water. You should see water flow out of the hoses that had the red tabs on them. If not, release and pull again the trigger several times. If only 1 hose has water coming out of it then block the one that works and try the process above again to de clog the one that isn't working. Good luck.

Water runs rite thru, trigger in or out.

First be sure the tank itself is not leaking. If it is not, you probably have a solenoid valve which is stuck in the open position. There are 2 solenoid operated valves - one for the soap/water solution, and one for rinse. If a solenoid has failed, it will need to be replaced.

Elkay drinking fountain M#erpb28c continuously runs, having problems getting mounting nut back onto bubbler, seems basin should come off for access, however needind a reapir manual or access instructions...

The Elkay fountains are turned on by a solenoid powered valve. There is a rubber grommet in that valve assembly that gets holes in it and then water gets behind it, causing the valve to stick on. To test that it is a solenoid problem, turn the water on and then unplug the power to the fountain--if the water continues to run you have a solenoid problem. You'll need to replace the solenoid and I've detailed how to do it with all the steps and lots of pictures on my blog: http://johnfixesstuff.blogspot.com/2014/10/how-to-fix-elkay-model-ezfs81b-replace-solenoid-35981c.html John Fixes Stuff How To Fix an Elkay Model EZFS8 1B Drinking Fountain...

I have a Model F7431-900 and is a SteamVac V2. When I press the trigger for water or cleaning solution, the water just runs right through it even after releasing the trigger. What kind of problem do I...

This sounds like a stuck solenoid. The Dual V models use solenoids to contol soap and water flow to the floor, along with a pump unit. If your unit is 12 months or less it is under warranty. I am not sure about the cost of the solenoid.

The cleaning solution and water just keep coming out without touching the trigger.

If that condition is present when the unit is not turned on, or not plugged in, then the failure is a water control valve (solenoid), located in the base. It may be stuck open, or have debris blocking the seal internally. The valve itself is not user serviced.

No steam polti 2001r, heats up clicks, but no steam!!!!!!

the solenoid valve isn,t operating when you pull the trigger. It is caused by either the coil has burnt out on the solenoid or the valve itself is stuck

Too much water coming out.

When you press the trigger an angled piece on the end of the plastic rod attached to the trigger pushes valve button in that then releases fluid. On releasing the trigger, the valve button is supposed to be pushed back out by an internal spring. The button gets sticky with evaporated cleaning fluid and does not come back out, causing fluid to continuously run. Try taking the machine outside, fill the tank with very hot water, pull the trigger, and let the clean, hot water flow through the valve. Perhaps it will free up. If not, the valvle will have to be replace. Either way, once it is working, ALWAYS flush the entire system with hot, clean, clear water to remove any cleaning solution in the system or it will only clog again

Water & soap spray constantly even when trigger is not depressed.

The connection for the hose to the cleaner is also a valve assembly. There is a white plastic spring- loaded sleeve that the hose must push in for water to flow into the hose. Part # is 43523004. This is a rather flimsy part, mine cracked and cleaner continously leaks out the backside of the valve housing until the tank is empty GRRRRRRR!

www3.sears.com there are diagrams and parts lists for similar model F7452-900.

It maybe that a water line has come off, where does it appear to be running out? Bottom of the tank, or down below, Bottom of the tank may have a bad seal or has a crack under the the seal, on the platform where the tank sits on has 2 or 3 tubes that hook up to it, check to make wure they are on, or a line could have come loose at the bottom, there you would have to take the top cover off.
