If it is clogged injectors how do.I.unclog

If you are asking about ink jet injectors, you can clean them with a lint-free cloth & water. You gently wipe the surface of the jets with a slightly dampened cloth several times to loosen the dried ink. Take a paper towel and fold it until you have 4 plies of towel. That is to help absorb the ink and hopefully, keep it off your counter or desktop. Place the inkjet cartridge with the jets facing the towel surface onto the towel., about 5 seconds will do. Lift the cartridge and see if you have a nice rounded rectangle of ink on the towel. If you do, you've cleaned the jets and should be able to reinsert it into your printer. If not, clean again and reapply onto a clean section of the paper towel.
Good luck.

Ink jet cartridge

  • 1 Select the ink cartridge specific to your printer. Canon inks are versatile, so your selection may be as simple as choosing between black, color or a multi-pack with black and color cartridges.

  • 2 Turn on your Canon printer. The switch is generally located on the top right hand side of the printer. Open the printer's lid.
  • 3 Wait a moment. The cartridge carrier will automatically disengage.
  • 4 Put your hand behind the existing ink cartridge and pull the cartridge towards you until it pops out. Dispose of or recycle the used cartridge.
  • 5 Carefully pull the tape off the new cartridge.
  • 6 Position the new cartridge into the cartridge carrier. Make sure it is facing the correct position.
  • 7 Press the cartridge carrier gently until it clicks into place. Some cartridges have indicators to demonstrate that they are properly positioned.
  • 8 Close the printer's lid. Print a test page to ensure everything is working properly.

MFC -990 CW printer does not recognize a full yellow ink, despite it is original, cleaning run twice and other colours work fine

Try rubbing alcohol on the outside of the head.
More often than not ink will dry from the outside in.
I've found that refill kits work once or twice, and then the cartridge is shot and i gotta buy a new one, but YMMV i guess.
Might just need to break down a buy another yellow cart.
Buyer beware, but you could break down and take a chance on this.
    Edit:
If it's the pump, look in the documentation for a head clean or purge, this might help.

    Print colour not consistent

    Hi,
The single item in an inkjet printer that requires the most attention is the ink cartridge and usually is the cause of uneven, light and inconsistent printing problems. When such problems happen usually the ink cartridge needs to be replaced, but sometimes you may need to inspect the ink cartridges for problems. Ink cartridges can be popped out of the printhead assembly for inspection of the inkjets. if any or all of the jets are clogged, it is possible to clear them by gently wiping the face of the cartridge with a swab. A gentle squeeze of the ink reservoir can also help to unblock the clogged jet.
    Hope this helps

    Phaser 8200 jet blocking II.

The Phaser 8200 does not have jet subtitution mode. That was first available on the Phaser 8400. You can try to force the jet to clear by making a cleaning page of your own. Make a document with a vertical stripe on the page in the position of the plugged jet in the exact color of the ink in question. Run 100 pages or so at the highest print quality.

Having faced over 100 solid ink printers, my experience tells me that it's hopeless. You'll probably never get that jet cleared. At the age of your printer, you should consider yourself lucky that it's only one. The newer models have ability to work through these types of issues built in.
