Does the presser foot lift up when you use the lever? Can you open the face cover plate and see the presser foot lever to see if it is connected and functional or has it become disconnected?

Question about a bobbin

First you have to determine if the thread under the plate is the bobbin's thread... or just great loops from the upper thread.

Bobbin snarls are caused by the bobbin unspooling in the wrong direction.

Burrs and snags on the carrier.

Upper thread snarls in the bobbin area are "operator error" Typically, upper thread not threaded correctly (foot UP, buttercup)... or neglecting to put the presserfoot down while sewing.

Good luck.

Machine is powered on. When I press the presserfoot there is no sewing action. The machine emits a soft beep as long as I hold down the presserfoot.

hi, it could be several things
MACHINE DOES NOT RUN
1.the motor belt is probably broken
2.the motor belt may be loose-needs to be serviced

MOTOR DOES NOT RUN
1.the electrical cord may be defective-replace
2.the motor maybe burned out-smell the motor to see if it smells like a dirty pair of socks, if the motor smells it needs to be repalced
3.the foot pedal may be defective-replace

Flashing lights/ no functioning of machine

When we had the same problem as you, we called the helpline and they walked us through the basic reset process. We turned it on and had the same problem. We then raised the presserfoot, turned the wheel on the side of the machine, put down the presserfoot, and then unplugged the power cord from the side of the machine. We then turned it on, and it was fixed! Hope this helps!

Needle alignment on serger model L5

Presserfoot properly secured to the machine? Happens to one of the ones I own if I don't get it quite clipped in properly and then lower the presser foot. In any case, when you figure out the issue, throw out those needles.... they're damaged, and possibly bent and will only give you further grief.
