Question about Lenovo IdeaPad Y650 418534U Laptop Charger (1300745LMD0021119)
Recently, the DVDRW drive on my Lenovo Y650 4185-55U laptop failed and I need to replace it. I'm not sure how to properly open the computer case in order to remove the bad drive and install a new one. I would appreciate detailed instructions. Thank you in advance.
Flip pc over. There will be one screw not part of a plate. About an inch in front of the battery and about 4 inches from where you would put in a DVD. Only one screw holds the DVD in. Unscrew it and gently slide the optical drive out. If the optical drive does not move with some gentle prying with finger nails or a plastic tool, you did not loosen the correct screw.
