Hi Patsy Roose, I want to help you with your problem, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Where all have you looked for the model number? Some of the places that they put the model number plate are, on the back, on one of the front struts when you pull out the drawer, sometimes they also put the plate underneath the surface units. One way you can find it in the last area is by pulling out some of your surface units and looking through the hole with a flashlight to see if you can see the model number plate. Hope this helps you find your model number. I wish I could help you with the self cleaning problem but I am not real familiar with that model.

How do I operate my self-cleaning oven..no manual..

Thank you for your post, Pattie Cromie!

I see that you would like to operate self-clean on your Frigidaire range and you do not have the manual. Typically, to start self-clean you would need to push the button labeled "Self-clean" and make sure there is nothing inside the oven before starting a self-clean cycle. Also before starting self-clean close the door because of the temperatures that are created within the oven the door needs to be closed and locked. I hope this has been beneficial. -Matt

It sounds like it is broken. You can bypass it by connecting the 2 wires together. This should be fine until you replace it. They aren't that expensive.

How do you operate oven

You should have a bake and broil button and arrows to adjust temp up and down. Of course a start button should be there. If no off button, then there should be a cancel button to turn it off. The door only locks in self clean mode.

I did a self clean on my tappan electric oven; cant get the door to open.... what can i do?

MaryAnn, If you try to push the locking lever/handle towards the "lock" position first, then pull it back towards the open position, it should unlock for you.

However if that doesn't work, you can turn off the breaker for the electric range, in most electric panels, it is marked as "Range" or "Stove" but is typically a double pole 50 Amp Breaker (It takes up 2 spaces). If you look at the handles of the breakers, you should be able to see the numbers "50" on the handle.

Once you turn off the power, you should be able to unlock the oven. Some ranges require that the power be on in order to unlock it, but first try to open it with the power turned off, and it that doesn't work, turn the breaker back on and the door should be able to be unlocked.

Remember that it will take a little bit of effort to get the door to unlock in some cases, so give it a good tug.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Press the self-clean button.  The panel becomes blank(---), then press the up arrow( ^ ).  The panel will appear 3:00 (indication for the duration of self-cleaning). The oven will lock on its own and start the self-cleaning.  Good luck, ya'll!
