Question about Canon MR-14EX TTL Ring Light Flash

1 Answer

Replacement part The base or connector for my ringflash has cracked so I need a new one to be able to connect it to the body. It seems it's just a matter of unscrewing 4 small screws to do this. Thanks for help.

The bases are sold on EBay, I replaced 2 of them. There cheap comparably from buying a new one. Like you said 4 screws, but be careful there is also 4 springs inside. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Canon-MR-14EX-Ring-Light-Replacement-Flash-Shoe-Foot-Free-Shipping-/370901814099?pt=Camera_Flash_Accessories&hash=item565b788b53

The seat is cracked and doesn't heat anymore, is there anything I can try before buying a new one?

if the seat is cracked then the element is probably broken at the crack site
check for circuit continuity of the element or buy a new seat
can't be too hygienic or comfortable sitting on a cracked seat

Kids dropped tablet. dead. Opened back and found display connector cable/film had cracked. Is there a fix for this? Is the connector integral to the display or an easily replaced cable?

take it to a repair shop but the problem really is when it is dropped , look for a new one as repairs will cost close to a replacement unit

What do I need for a tune up for my 2003 Lexus GS 300? I want to shop @ Wal-Mart for most of the content (I work there) and have the car running LOVELY lol. Please help me

To do a "Tune-up" you will need 6 spark plugs, a throttle body gasket, an air filter, an air compressor, a blow gun, a magnetic pick-up tool and a socket set with ratchet and extensions.
You must remove the intake air resonator, the #3 timing belt cover, the accelerator cable, the throttle control motor connector, the throttle position sensor connector, the accelerator pedal position sensor connector, the throttle body bracket and the throttle body. Then remove the spark plug cables and the ignition coils. You will then crack the spark plugs loose 1/4 turn and use the air compressor and blow gun to blow the debris out of the spark plug tubes so it does not enter the combustion chamber when the spark plugs are removed. Then remove the spark plugs. You will need the magnetic pick-up tool to fish the plugs out of the tubes once they are completely unscrewed.
Install new spark plugs and torque them to 13 ft.lbs (18 Nm)
Install throttle body with nw gasket. Install all other parts removed and connect all connectors.
Install intake resonator and new air filter.

Have a couple cracks in right front of bumper cover. Failed Massachusetts inspection. Would prefer to patch the cracks rather than taking to auto body shop for replacement cover. Any suggestions?

I did a bit of quick research and came up with the following: http://www.autobodysupply.net/articles.asp?id=135 I have not tried it but based upon what I read, it seems that they have an idea based upon facts.
Good luck

Vehicle engine seems to stall at low revs or approaching a stop, been doing that last few days. Now brakes do not seem to have any power assistance. Any thoughts, think this is now not fuel related and...

check for a vacuum leak... the brake booster could be bad and need replacing.
check the vacuum hose that runs from the brake booster to the manifold. Sometimes they crack, leak, or get partially disconnected...the gromet on the booster itself as well.
Good luck...i hope this helps.
