This is is due to a faulty resistor probably the B+(R950)..On the power supply control circuit..If you know how to use a multimeter you can easily find the faulty one...And replace it.However if you are not good at electronics i advice that you give it for service coz its not gonna cost you too much..Dont delay the repair as it can damage the more expensive components in the Tv.

Generally these type of problem occurs due to atmosphere contains moisture content. Even if it happens in warm area i suspect fbt leakage. Since this is high voltage transformer it can be serviced by qualified technicians only. Red light flashes indicates the tv in protection mode to avoid severe damage due to some short circuit. I think it is helpful to you

SOURCE: no picture
My picture would go out after several minutes but I still had sound. I took the rear cover off and blew all the dust off with compresed air.I did this for a few times over several days nothing happened.I also took off the rear circuit board that attaches to the tube with a round pin socket and blew that with compressed air and put it back on. The TV has now worked for two days without the picture going out. It worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My tv was 9 years old.
