Restore earlier date

Hi i have a samsung n150 netbook computer. I need to sell it but i have important files over the last year. I don't want the buyer being able to change a setting and access my files. Can i restore the computer to an earlier time without somebody being able to undo it then to the future state it was in?

If you have concerns about privacy go and get it properly wiped by a professional, a simple system restore or factory restore isn't going to guarantee your old files are unrecoverable and will leave your data at risk.

Factory settings function will automatically install the windows it came with back on your computer, but you will lose any files that you saved on the computer.

However if you still want to risk your private data being accessed by someone you could do a factory restore. You can trigger this on many Samsung models by pressing F4 at startup on the Samsung splash screen.

My samsung laptop wont boot to windows... pls help me TY

Are you getting any error messages?
You can try going to safe mode with networking and restore your computer to an earlier date.

( You can goto safe mode with networking by - restart your computer and start pressing the F8 button repeatedly till you get the new boot options menu)

Some of the keys not working on my samsung n150 netbook - backspace, delete , ] ' @ / toggle buttons tried restart, restore to earlier date - nothing works

The whole keyboard will need to be replaced in order to fix the problem, the keys are not designed to be serviced making it impossible to rectify the situation. The best solution is take it to a computer shop to have the issue resolved, or attach an external keyboard to restore full operation.

Hi! Last night, my Samsung N150 was still working properly. But when I connect a music player, it stopped working. When I restarted it, the taskbar was already stretched upward and the start button failed...

Try running you're antivirus. Scan you're drive and you're music player because i'm assuming that you're music had a virus that attached itself to you're netbook. If that didn't worked or you're antivirus didn't run at all ( because some viruses and specially malwares can actually do that ) try running it in safe mode (pressing f8 during initial boot) or run you're system recovery in safe mode (this will revert you're system to the date you're netbook didn't have any problems).
To prevent this kind of problem in the future i would suggest turning off you're autorun. Try running this procedure http://antivirus.about.com/od/securitytips/ht/autorun.htm
If you're having a hard time understanding it the easiest way to do it closing the autorun pop out once you insert you're music player. Then just double click you're computer then right click on the drive then select explore. And make sure that anything you insert in you're netbook in the future to scan it first with you're antivirus before doing anything.
Hope this helps. Good Day. ( :

I have restored my system, and now Microsoft office is not there. What to do?

Hi akshay_20200,

It seems that the original "restore" does not include Office as part of the original suite of applications.

http://www.samsung.com/hk_en/consumer/computer-peripherals/notebook/others/NP-N150-JP0CHK/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=specification

You may have to reinstall and reactivate your own licensed copy.

However, an open-source version that's able to access/create/modify Office files (even the more recent *.docx, for example) is Open Office.

Let us know how it goes.

Hope this helps,

My daughter has a Samsung N150 Netbook (N450). She has only had it 4 months and now when she switches it on the screen lights up but that is it. No windows logo.....nothing. Does anyone have any ideas...

once it starts up, press on F8, and then select Safe mode or last known good configuration. If not, you may need to reinstall the operating system. Just reinstall over the current one so you can get your files. Don't format.
