How do i get the mitsubishi out of protection mode

Depending on what the error code is. Press the menu and device/input buttons on the set both in for 5 seconds then count the led blink it should blink a series of blinks for the first number then pause briefly then blink another series of blinks for the second number. Let me know what the blink code is and I will assist you with the problem.

Your TV set is in protect mode .To protect further damage of some component parts.There is something internal problem inside maybe there is a shorted.

this is very simple to do just take your face plate off and were you see a red light blinking just get like a bobby pin or something and pit it through the hole and the radio will reset and that should fix your problem

This condition can be easily fix by replacing and IC that is the vertical amplifier.
The number is something like LA7835 or LA7836, this IC is mounted on a heatsink.
Do a search in google for it.

My receiver is in protect mode.


The units in the protect mode because the Microprocessor detects a large current being drawn by the amp. section of the reciver. This is a solid state unit and there are no user replaceable parts inside this unit. Unless you know how to trouble shoot sloid state devices then you should seek a pro to assist you with this repair. GOOD LUCK
