If its 1 specific color that is only fading then it could be a defective or low toner, also, if you pull the toner out, you should see a strip of glass in back of where you pulled it out that you may want to clean with a lint free cloth. If on the other hand the faint print runs thru all the colors then you might be looking at the ITB (intermediate transfer belt). Worse case it very well may be the mirrors inside the laser housing and unless your comfortable with digging deep into the machine, you may want to call for service...
