Change an edger blade

Start here to find User's Manual. Sometimes the nut/bolt holding the blade on is a Left Hand thread and requires CW turning to loosen and remove. Not sure on this model.

Can not remover edger blade which way do you turn nut seems to be frozen

Spray that ****** with some penetrating oil like PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench and let it soak on it overnight. The locking nut probably removes counterclockwise. Maybe use the exact corresponding hex-head socket (6-Pt. not a 12-Pt.) and ratchet and give the handle a good strong rap with a hammer when it is ready.

Unable to get nut off of a craftsman convertible edger.

Lock on the blade with a pair of ViseGrip Pliers, then try turning the nut, they are installed quite tight, also try clockwise, maybe left hand nut.

Cannot stop the shaft from turning to remove lock nut fs400 to remove brush cutter blade

With unit in normal operating position, the operator can see the small hole on top of the gearbox. Insert a blunt ended metal dowel rod into that hole to lock the gearbox and remove the cutting attachment. NOTE: The locknut is left-hand thread.

Can't get the nut off.. is there a secret to blade removal

Hi these are usually the opposite way to which the blade turns but you may have to use a rattle gun to remove this. If you have a look at the thread you should be able to determine which way it comes off. Just remember to fix the blade so it wont turn and take your fingers off.

Can't remove the nut holding blade on. Which way do I remove

Get some WD-40 and spray the area around the nut then let it sit for a few hours. This will get into the threads and loosen any rust that is compounding your problem. Now get a good wrench and look directly at the nut. Left is loose and Right is tight.
