Question about HP Computers & Internet
How do I find the internet protocol address for my computer?

If using windows, click the start button and in the search block, type "cmd". (without the quotes) when the command window opens, type "ipconfig" (without the quotes). if you get an address 169.254.X.X you have a automatic IP address that windows will give itself when there is no Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) server on your network. If you are running Linux, open a terminal, and type "ifconfig" (without the quotes)

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
