First try disasembling the pilot orfice and clean with blast of carb or brake cleaner( out doors only away from flame).. the hole is very small and gets plugged by rust in the pipe system..if overall pressure is low there is a cap screw to remove and tightening the regulator screw down increases the pressure..this should be done by a professional with a pressure gauge on the manafold..

I have a dyna glow 18000 btu btrand new the pilot just flickers on and off won't light is it because there is too much oxygen if need adjust where is the adjustment screw at

Flickers points to lack of air you may need to clean pilot so its strong and blue . Any adjustment would be near where the pilot supply goes in the the gas valve.

Try using Fn keys to adjust, otherwise check the setting and control panel applications. Could be something wrong with your power plans as well.

How to adjust pilot lite on a furnace

Select thermostat to off. Take front upper panel off of furnace. Looking at gas valve you should see a flat head or straight slot screw. This is the cap to access the adjustment. Look at the body of the gas valve real close. You may need to put on your glasses or use magnifying glass. It should say pilot in very small raised letters. Remove the cap. Look down into access hole and you will see the adjustment screw. It is a nylon screw so be careful not to strip it out. Place the correct screw driver, should be a small phillips or straight head. Turn gas valve to pilot and depress. Light pilot. While holding down, adjust nylon screw clockwise until flame envelopes 3/8 to 1/2 inch around thermocouple. Replace cap. Select heat and verify pilot stays lit. If the flame doesn't stay lit most likely your thermocouple is defective. You can purchase at your local hardware or Home Depot. Length doesn't matter. The thermocouple is heated and sends a DC signal back to the gas valve. There is another screw cap on the gas valve that adjusts gas pressure. Do not try to adjust the gas pressure to the gas valve because you need a special instrument (manometer) to adjust pressure. This device measures the water colume of the gas. A qualified technician would adjust this to 3.5" WC. for natural gas or 11" for propane.

Adjust pilot light on hot water heater

On most water heaters there is no adjustment to pilot light. About the best you can do is clean pilot and burner. If you are having trouble keeping pilot light lit then I would replace the termocouple.

Pilot light

On the gas valve there is an adjustment for the pilot it usually is a machine head type screw if you remove it there is a limit adjustment for the pilot under that. It will not be the flat cap type screw and it will not be a black plastic inner screw to adjust, it should be a metal brass screw you adjust. Not trying to throw to much info at you just making sure you get the right screw to adjust the pilot. The flat metal cap cover screw with the black plastic screw underneath is the pressure regulation adjustment, so it is critical not to touch it.

The pilot adjustment screw is located on the back side of the oven temperature thermostat. Lift the cook top to access it. Use a flat screwdriver to adjust... counter clockwise= bigger flame.
