This is due to a slow broadband speed. Ideally you need at a minimum 2.5Gbs.

Why is there no picture but sound?

Can you tell us a bit more about the problem? It would be helpful if we knew:
1) What device are you using to connect to Netflix (computer, DVD player, TV, etc.)?
2) When you use that device for something other than Netflix, do you see a picture? So if you're using a DVD player, can you play DVDs? Can you watch TV?
3) Can you log into your Netflix account on your computer and watch movies on your computer? Can you login from someone else's computer and try that?
3) When did the problem start?

Some shot-in-the-dark steps that apply to all electronics:
1) Turn everything off. Turn it all back on.
2) If that doesn't work, unplug everything. Wait 30 seconds, then plug it all back in.
3) Check all the cables (from power to your TV and Netflix device, cables coming from your peripherals to the TV, etc.). Even if they seem to be well-seated, unplug them and plug them back in.
4) Try new connections. If your TV was connected by HDMI, and you have a different way of connecting your device (DVI, component, RCA, s-video, coax, whatever) try it. If your device connects to the Internet wirelessly, see if you can get a wired connection. Swap cables wherever you can.
5) If you can, try interchanging components. So, for example, try connecting to a different HDMI port on your TV. Try other devices on your TV. Take your Netflix device (if it's not your TV) to a different TV.

Those last 2 steps may solve the problem, but are more likely to isolate the problem. (For example, if your DVD player doesn't work no matter what TV it's connected to, then the problem is the DVD player.)

Update us with as much info as you can.

I have a Boston acoustics model 120. The sound lags by about a half second from the tv. How do I adjust this lag so that I get real time audio?

run the sound directly from the tv, sounds like you are running it from another source , which is way the sound lags behind the picture. From the little info you have given, thats what i would say is the problem

When I play DVDs on my HP Pavillion dv5220, the sound and picture lag even when using different DVD playing programs. Why is the DVD stuttering, and what can I do to fix it?

Try using a third party program like WinDVD or InterVideo. You can get free downloads of a lot of them, and HP has never had the best record for player technology so they can use all the help they can get!

My laptop is working slower and slower and always lags especially during start up.

Try defragmenting your hard drive, remove any desktop icons that aren't used frequently and stop any programs that aren't required at start up.

My camera is way to slow to take a picture

If you read the reviews on A10 it has something like 1.73 seconds shutter lag, which is very slow to some other cameras with only 0.3 shutter lag. Redeuce the pixels to 6mb. Also a weak battery and maybe a under performing m.card add to your camera seem to be slower usual.

Sound lags picture

This can some times be caused by VBR audio encoded files as opposed to CBR audio some standalone DVD players will exhibit sound lag in this case. It is a good idea to re-encode the VBR to CBR audio this usually solved the problem.

Although this is usually with DivX (AVI) files that have been re-authored to DVD-Video I suggest that you convert all audio to CBR to avoid any such errors.

this conversion process it a bit of a long way around I know, but it does work!

1) Open video in VirtualDubMod or VirtualDubMP3 (if there is an index error this can sometimes fix it for you.

2) Ignore the error warning that the video contains vbr audio.
3) Extract audio as mp3 ("demux" in VdubMod or "save as wav", then rename to mp3 in VdubMP3).

4) Convert audio to wav with CDex

5) Open original video in VirtualDub, choose "direct stream copy" for video and "Wav audio" with "Full audio processing" with cbr mp3 compression (and interleaving with appropriate delay if out of sync) for audio.

You could also use several other methods including AVIDemux which uses VDub Mod or scan in the DVD-Video using TMPEnc v4.0 Xpress and applying a time lead OR lag however this doex not solve a progressive lag but can be used to reauthor a fixed error.
