What can I do to help prevent my dog from getting an ear infection? I clean his ears regularly; however he still seems to be getting infections.

I found a great natural remedy that works in preventing ear infections in dogs. I use it for my dogs and they have been ok for almost a year now.

PREVENTS EAR INFECTIONS! This recipe is not meant to be used with Zymox. This should only be used once the ears are completely healed.

Keep in mind that it "will not" cure an existing ear infection.

Once you get your dog's ears to a healthy state either by using Zymox like we recommended or with the help of an antibiotic from your veterinarian, start using the following remedy weekly to prevent future infections. This works by raising the Ph level in the dogs ears.

Purchase an eye dropper bottle and the following ingredients
from your local pharmacy.

2 Tablespoons of Boric Acid
4 ounces of Rubbing Alcohol
1 Tablespoon of Glycerine

Shake the bottle before each use to thoroughly mix. Place a small eyedropper full into each ear. Cup the dog's ear and massage gently. Allow the dog to shake his head and gently blot dry any excess on the outside of the ear.
Do this weekly.

If ANY IRRITATION occurs - STOP using the recipe immediately!

How do you fix a Finis swimp3 1 gb not recognized by the computer

There are a couple reason why a SwiMp3 1g will stop recognizing on your computer. Below are some things to look for and tips to try to get your unit working correctly again.
First, pull the cap of the USB and check if there are any signs of corrosion occurring on connection. If so, it is easily removed and prevented from happening again. Once the corrosion is safely removed off the USB your unit will recognize in your computer and charge correctly again. To remove corrosion try running HOT water over the USB. Scrub with a toothbrush, pick with your nail or a butter knife ect. Also, if the hot water does not work you can also try rubbing alcohol. Once most of the corrosion is off, the unit should charge and connect properly.Corrosion is actually caused from moisture and chlorine not the actual water so a way to prevent corrosion from happening again is to run fresh water over the USB and pat dry after each swim.
If the SwiMp3 is a 2g (yellow and black) contact Finis technical support for the firmware links and instructions to fix this issue. Also, you can visit and create a support ticket regards to your product or review walk-through tips on the product. Thank you,

SwiMP3 (128 MB) MP3 Player: I have the original first version of the Swimp3 pl...

This could actually be an easy fix. If you have any files on the player that are not WMA or MP3 files, or that you've stored your music in folders - either way it could simply stop the drive from playing.

Incompatible Music Files: If you have loaded a music file that is not compatible, it simply won't play. The SwiMP3 player works with mp3 or wma files, but not aac (like from iTunes).

Solution: Remove the incompatible files. Convert your other music files to mp3 or wma, and if you are importing your songs direct from itunes, you'll need to convert them to mp3s first.

Incompatible NON-Music Files: An MP3 player is similar to a Thumb Drive or Flash Drive because it can hold any kind of file that will fit in the drive's capacity. However, if you have loaded an incompatible file - including JPEGs, Cover Art, Word Docs, anything that is not an MP3 or WMA file, the player simply can't translate it into music.

Solution: Remove the incompatible files, leaving only your mp3 or wma files in your root directory.

Folders: The mp3 player is not able to open folders and play music files stored inside, to the Swimp3 player the folder is simply an un-playable file.

Solution: Open the folders, move or copy the music files into the root directory (remember, mp3 or wma - not aac), then delete the folders.

I hope you find this helpful.

My swimp3 Player won't play. It seems to have a

The Swimp3 Surf was discontinued by the manufacturer in 2009, so at this point the warranty is likely expired. (sorry for that bad news).

However, there may be a bright point. If the short is in the earpiece, they do offer replacement earbuds that work specifically with the SurfMp3 and new Xtreamp3. You can visit to purchase them.

If the short is somewhere else, it may not be fixable since the player is a sealed unit.

Good Luck and I hope you're back to swimming to music, soon.
