I am trying to connect my GE camera to my laptop but the camera is not being picked up when connected to my laptop via data cord. What can I do?

There is probably no Win10 driver for this camera. You will have to get a USB card reader and use that.

What if I don't have the USB cord for the camera??

If the cord fits, use it.
You didn't specify the make and model of your camera, but if it uses a memory card of some type you don't need a USB cord to transfer your pictures.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Can't down load pic to computer it says camera not connected.

Might be a problem with your cord...or maybe you are using the wrong cord to download. Make sure you have the cord you received with the camera. Plug in the cord to the computer. Restart your computer. Then (with your camera turned off) plug in the cord to the camera. Start the camera and see if it connects.

I wish to transfer my photograph captured in d60 nikon camera into my computer please help

Normally, this type of cameras are provided with USB port end cords, so that you can connect the camera to your PC. Simply connect your camera with this USB cord to your computer, and your computer will detect your camera as a removable device after a few seconds. An autoplay window will be shown (if the option is activated form your PC), then click on the 'Open files with explorer' and a new window will open. Open the folder containing your pictures, find it out and simply copy and paste it to your hard drive folders.

Digital camera cord

Hey ILUVMADDY12,
I would purchase a card reader(that plugs into a usb port) for the type of memory card your camera uses, and then upload your images using the card reader instead of connecting the camera to your computer.

Sincerely,
Allan

How do I get video from camera to computer?

The required wires to attach the camcorder to the computer are NOT included. You will either need to purchase a FireWire cable, or a USB cable to connect it.

I cant put pictures onto computer?

you have several options.
1. see first what operating system you computer runs.
if it is vista or mac, it will be recognized as unknown device,
look for SSCAM100 or DCIM folder. you will then see the camera files in that folder.

2. you should also download the cd driver, the cd that comes with the camera, to your PC. this will help the connection be proper.

3. if you're using desktop, try to connect the camera at the back of your tower. look for a USB port at the back of the tower and connect USB cord to it.

4. make sure you're using the proper USB cable, the cable that comes with the camera. for your S630, it is USB cable type 2.

5. also, make sure before you connect camera to PC, camera is turned off, when the USB cord is properly connected, that is the time camera should be turned on.

6. when unpluggin the camera to PC, make sure that you are safely removing the device from the PC so you will not have future connection problems.

hope my suggestions work for you.
