YES ! This is usually ok, the speaker cabinet should contain a high pass filter or crossover on the tweeter to decouple it from the low frequency signals. My Linn Index speakers are wired like this.

Your screen may have either burnt out or became disconnected somehow. Sometimes, it's as simple as a connector coming loose from its port; other times, however, there's physical damage to the wires/connector/port. I'd contact the manufacturer to troubleshoot it as far as it can go on the phone. I assume that they'll either figure it out right there, or follow their protocols and (assuming it's covered in the warranty) have you send it to them for diagnostic steps. The other alternative is to simply call a professional.

The new relay only needs a switched live and a neutral. The lives for the rest can be joined together (they were on a joint connector on the old relay) and the neutrals are common anyway. The switched live is the one that comes back from the thermostat control.
