SOURCE: Replacing the belt on a Murray Riding Lawnmower.

The simplest way, is to take hold the belt, with the tension from the engine pully/clutch mechanism, then to follow the shape around the rest of the cutter mechanism. (You don't have to worry which direction the belt travels,)
Bearing in mind, the tensioner direction.
Then, you will see the correct route, very quickly:)
Hope you can manage, with that.

SOURCE: Cut grass clippings does not get picked up by riding lawnmower

When using a bagger, you need correct blades on mower or Worn blades will cause the deck not to get the vacuum needed for the bagger to pickup.

Drive belt slips on Husqvarna YTH21K46 riding lawnmower, installed new drive belt and it slips. mower is 2 years old

I had this same issue. New belts and correct routing did not solve the problem. The issue with my mower was the tabs that come off the frame that you bolt the transaxle (the drive for the rear wheels and axle) had almost completely torn/cracked away. This allowed the transaxle to tilt forward under a load and slip the belt off the rear drive pulley. You see no mention of this at the dealer or company sights. The tabs are so thin this is going to happen, in my opinion, in time. I reinforced this area with 1/4 inch angle iron and have had no further belt issue.

Deck belt broken, l need a diagram to replace new belt on a Troy bilt riding lawnmower, 42 " cut 20 Hp, model # 13AP60TG563. Thanks

Hi,

You will find the diagram on the left side of the deck as you sit on tractor by left foot. It will be located under the foot pedal that has the routing diagram specifically for your Troy-Bilt mower model. Note that owner's manuals may not have the most current schematic.

Also you can check this link to download the diagram:-

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

Are all drive belts on lawnmowers compatible I have ariens ride-on lawnmower

All belts are not created equal. I recommend staying with the manufacturer's belt. Riding mower belts have to take a lot of torque when engaged and a lesser belt will have much less life. You may end up changing belts several times to learn a valuable lesson.

Adjust the drive belts,

if you have the belt installed correctly, the idler pully is the only adjustment and thats automatic. i trust you have installed the correct belt.
