Ran down on oil. Security lite came on. Is there a safety switch that prevents engine damage?

as you have not mentioned the make of car it is safe to assume that only the more expensive makes would have an oil level safety switch. The engine light would have come on because the oil pressure sensor switch registered a lower than required pressure and the result is a limp mode of complete shut off caused by the ECM

How much oil do i need for front seal for a suzuki 1000 ?

Do you mean the front fork seal? Please write back and be specific, we'd be glad to help. If it's fork oil, about 14-15 ounces. Especially with things that can greatly affect handling and safety-spend a couple bucks and buy a service manual. Amazon is an excellent place. It's the best $$$ you'll ever spend to keep your ride safe and sound.

Amount of astaxanthin

Hello Ellen,

The answer to your question is yes this can be correct and is perfectly safe, krill has the natural antioxidant astaxanthin, which not only protects the EPA and DHA from degradation, but also provides valuable free-radical protection for the body.

Craftsman 42in 16hp engine will not stay cranked. Changed sparkplug, airfliter, changed oil, check all 3 neutral switches all fine. Will crack for about 15 minutes and cut off. Could it be overheating...

make sure the oil is up on the safe mark on the oil stick, you should use 30 or 40 weight motor oil , but if it has oil safety switch ,it could have gone bad,and it will shut d0wn the motor, just try unplugging the safety switch and see if it stays running ,if it does replace the safety switch.

I have a 94 caprice classic that wil crank but it wont turn on. It just got a new ignition and key for it and it still is doing this problem. it says press key fault and low oil pressure then it shuts off....

You vehicle is equipt with a fail safe switch incase your oil pressure is low it shuts off the fuel pump, More likely your oil pressure switch will need to be replaced, its 2011 relace the oil pressure switch more likely the sensor itself has failed,(oil breaks plastic after awhile,) make sure you have motor oil in the crankcase check the level,

What is the gas/oil mixture for the poulan wild thing chain saw please?

Use a quality 2-cycle air-cooled engine oil. Poulan recommends a good quality 2-cycle air-cooled oil designed to be mixed at a ratio of 40:1 (A 40:1 ratio is obtained by mixing 3.2 onces of oil with 1 gallon of unleaded gasoline). When mixing fuel, follow the instructions printed on the container. Always read and follow the safety rules relating to fuel before fueling your unit.. Be Safe!

My central air also makes squeaky noise

All new blowers are sealed units you really can not oil them. By the time they start howling it is to late. Now some evap motros inside have two small plastic plugs on the motor. The outside one is easy to oil the inside one is blocked by the fan. Very hard to get to without pulling the fan. My suggestion calla service tech and ask for free estimate on motor service or replacement.Russ

Oil pan

you have to raise the car if you can go to a lifter, or the hard way is to use aligator jacks, lift it as high as you can, use jack stands for safety, go underneath the engine, ( be sure the car is safe to go underneath)

drain the oil by removing the oil plug in the pan,
remove all bolts surrounding the oil pan,
gently remove the oil pan and take note not to tear the old pan gasket.( If you already have a new gasket then its ok to damage it)
do the repair on the pan as you wish,
then do the reverse on installing.

if you will use the old gasket, may i suggest that you use silicone gasket to further seal the pan and prevent oil leakage.

tnx 4 using fixya,
