Bar code read error: The printer does not detect the presence of the ribbon bar code sensor

1. Power down the printer. Remove the ribbon and wipe the two lenses of the ribbon bar code sensor with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab.
2. Install the ribbon and power on the printer. If the message appears again, replace the ribbon.
3. Power on the printer. If the message appears again, power down the printer and remove the paper path or top cover to gain access to the card cage. Make sure the cable from the ribbon bar code sensor to connector J122 on the controller board is undamaged and has a good connection to J122.
4. Power on the printer. If the message appears again, power down the printer and replace the ribbon bar code sensor.
5. Power on the printer. If the message appears again, power down the printer and replace the controller board. Record the message and return it with the defective board.

We have a problem while we want to turn it on . this error appears on lcd " ribon fult " we have to push " LF & ENTER then FF & ENTER " to ignor this error . what should we do to solve this problem.


There is a ribbon motion sensor on the left side of the ribbon deck. Most likely this sensor is dirty. Clean with isopropyl alcohol. Either that or you need to replace your ribbon. remove ribbon from printer and turn knob on ribbon. it should turn easily. if it is not replace ribbon.

MY DATACARD SD360 HAS PRINT RIBBON PROBLEM 109 DISPLAYED


The print ribbon is not moving properly.
1. Open the printer and remove the ribbon cartridge.
2. Reposition, repair, or replace the ribbon and advance the repaired area one full turn.
3. Replace the ribbon cartridge and close the printer.

MY printer ribbon is not moving insteadits making the ribon cover to open, what do i do? i am using lq 2180 dotmatrix printer


If the ribbon is old try replacing it with a new one (not refilled) if this ribbon is a new one then there is a problem with the ribbon feeding mechanism of your unit you may need to bring it to an authorized service provider near you to have the ribbon feeding mechanism replaced.

Hi I work in a restaurant and we have a Epson TM-U220A Model M188A printer. The last few days the printer has not been printing on the White receipt paper. We've tried replacing the ink and it doesn't do...

My zebra card p330 dont recognize the colour ribbon, only detect the mono riboon


Try to send the command !SA from the driver. And run the Ribbon calibration

Datacard sp55 printer won't recognize ribbon


PR-01726 Ribbon Out
Out of print ribbon.
Possible Cause 1 : The print ribbon Cartridge is empty.

Solution 1 : Reload the print cartridge. Change the cleaning sleeve and replace the cartridge in the printer. Run a cleaning card as soon as printing is completed.

Possible Cause 2 : The printer ribbon is not loaded correctly.
Soultion 2 :Load the printer ribbon correctly and then close the cover.

Possible Cause 3 : This ribbon has been completely used.
Solution 3 : Use a new roll of ribbon.

Tips for Success
* When this message appears, replace the old ribbon with the new ribbon of the same type. The printer has already prepared the card data for this ribbon type. You can change the colors of monochrome ribbon (such as from dark blue to gold).

* If you must change the type of ribbon (such as (YMCKT to KT) when this message appears, install the new ribbon, cancel any cards waiting to print, and change the ribbon type settings. Finally, return to the card creation program to send the card data to print.

* If the ribbon was repaired, the wrong take-up spool was used. Repair the ribbon again, using the correct take-up spool.

If you cannot fix the problem contact your service provider for assistance.

RIBBON ERRORS


Ribbon error message is displayed when the rotation of the ribbon spindle is not performed or not correctly detected. This can be due to various factors.
- The ribbon roll is not correctly fitted to the spindle.
- The sensors detecting the rotation are out of order or completetly filled with dust or grease.
In this case clean the sensors.
Another reason may be due to Direct thermal printing with a ribbon mounted.
