SOURCE: refrigerator doesnt get cold enough

If you remove the back panel on the inside of the cabinet then you would be able to check the evaporator coil (cold bit) and see if it is frozen up. If it is then defrost the system and see if you have any improvement. All the things you have pointed out over the compressor is normal, they do run incredibly hot. If you have got the freezer on a very cold setting I would suggest bringing both setpoints to a mid range setting. Check the temp in the fridge by measuring liquid temp as air temp is prone to fluctuate more. If you still have a concern I would suggest contacting a fridge guy to assist you. Hope this is of some if not limited help.

SOURCE: Ice build-up in freezer - Kenmore Model C978-66795-2

don't know this appliance but for guidence:
some appliances have the evaporator in a compartment at the top of the freezer and the drain comes out of the back and runs externally to the drip tray. there should be a grill in the compartment so just peer into it and see if there is ice build up.
wherabouts is the freezer ice forming?

My fridge (E440T but I believe the E522B is similar) had a broken fan wire and i had to pull off the rear panel and re-solder a wire. I created a document for others to follow that shows the rear panel removal if interested at http://www.accentis.com.au/downloads/misc/How I fixed my Fisher and Paykel Fridge Active Smart Fridge.pdf

Thanks to all postings on this site - it really helped a lot.

I would like to ask if you have parts for my Samsung double door fridge which was damage by Typhoon Yolanda last November. I've ask someone to fix the unit but it seems that one part was not available

This site doesn't have parts? You need to go online to appliance spare parts agents for your make and model. You don't say which model or which part you need so we can't really help can we?

Samsung RM255LASH the fan is get loud and stops when the door is open. Is this a fan issue, if so how do I replace it?

There is an ice building inside the fan compartment. You need to unplug the unit for about 3 hours with the door open to slightly melt the ice buildup. Then remove all the shelves and the back panel to get to the fan compartment and clean out all the ice buildup.

I HAVE HYTECH PCI SOUND CARD. BUT MY FRONT PANEL AUDIO IS NOT WORKING. HOW TO SOLVE

Hello there,
1. You must trace the front panel audio headers if it is attached to the right device.
2. Remove audio headers from the mother board if you are using a PCI sound card.
3. Check if your sound card has the proper audio headers.
4. Next configure your audio software if same jacks are tied up.

The image below is a Typhoon sound card, the rectangle box signifies audio headers. I don't have a clear image of your audio headers. It would be a big help for us to help you. the images provided below will help you to configure your front panel audio. pcsyke_80.jpg

This is the default header assignment for front panel audio.
pcsyke_78.jpg
Most casing this days have this dependent or intact headers unlike before.

My samsung ref rt30mass ref compartment is not working properly even with adjustments made from its temperature however the freezer is working properly

The defrost thermostat is not working and the evaporator compartment is blocked with ice. That will stop cold air from entering into the fresh food compartment.
Move your food to another refrigerator, then unplug and open the Samsung refrigerator for 24 hours and allow the ice to melt.
Then remove the freezer panel inside and locate and replace the little plastic tube like part that is zip tied to the expansion tubing. It should have 2 brown wires coming out of the plastic sealed tube/ thermostat part. Write down your model number and go to Samsung's website or searspartsdirect and buy a new thermostat.
I believe the operating range for said thermostat is 20 C to -5 C. you'll most probably have to cut the wires and splice in the new thermostat. You can also use a generic thermostat with the same or nearly the same ratings of 20/-5 C temp.
All the thermostatic switch does is control the defrost heating element that melts the ice off the evaporator every 10 to 12 hour cycle via the defrost timers switch located at the bottom rear of the refrigerator. You can turn the clock counter clock wise until the first loud click to force the machine into defrost as well. Although if the defrost heating element, thermistor, THERMOSTAT, or defrost timer switch has malfunctioned there will not be a defrost cycle and ice will form inside the ducting and evaporator compartment and block the cold air circulation and the fresh food compartment will not cool and the freezer section will barely freeze water.

Leaking 'fridge

You have to remove the food and ice maker ( if equipped ) , and remove the back panel screws and the panel . Use a hair dryer , start in the center , under the coils , and defrost , until you see the drain hole . Use hot water to help defrost the hole . Once defrosted , use a small hose inserted into the drain hole , and blow thru , to remove any debris , built up inside the drain line . Reassemble .

Frezzer working, freshfood side not,ok I stopped motor several times and it work four days and agin the problem. Is there a sensor in the freshfood side? or a little fan inside?Pls Help me

Hi, you got a defrost problem, when to much ice build up after few days, cooling decreases. it could either be your defrost heaters are burnt out, faulty defrost timer, or faulty defrost thermodisc, which are usually at back of freezer, you will have to remove back panel of freezer, and cary out continuity test, to see which ones are defected. the defrost timer sometimes could be found inside of refrigerator compartment or at back of ref. different models, different location, you didn't say what made ref. you got, surely you got a defrost problem, you will need a mechanic to get it check, if your days are hot, or if you got door gasket problem, or someone forgot door half open for few hrs, or excessive hot air getting into ref, could cause that too. before calling mechanic, you will need to empty ref. and unplug for few hrs, clean out all ice, surely it will work, but if problem continues, call mechanic.

Hotpoint refrigerator freezer(top) mod ctx18bacerww not cooling/freezing correctly. removed inside back panel in freezer compartment, found coils partially covered in frost, fan not blowing.. flicked fan...

Hi, fan may have stuck, but you could have a defrost problem, check defrost heater, thermodisc(defrost thermostat) and defrost timer. or excessive moisture, if your days are hot, or if you put hot foods in ref. could result in excessive ice build up. you can manually defrost it, by unpluging ref. for couple of hrs, until all ice melted. then restart. you make get excessive water on floor. be prepared.

WATER DRIPPING FROM TOP OF REFRIGS MAIN COMPARTMENT

The drain is clogged.

This water should be going down the drain to a pan under the ref.

The drain starts under the cooling coils in the freezer but can be clogged anywhere. Some models will have access in the main ref in the top - rear, a small cover can be removed. Some will have access on the back of the ref. you can see the drain tube and an elbow where it come out of the ref. remove the elbow and check for clogs.
