Door not closing

with the door open, look at the latch mechanism.. it is usually a two finger item or a one finger item that hooks on the stud or heavy bar mounted on the body door facing..these fingers must be in alignment in order for the door to close..while working the door release try to reset thes fingers by opening them up by hand as wide as they will go..some are spring loaded and may pop back to preset position.. now if the door has been"sprung" it will need readjusted to fit the body of the car..(was there an accident with the car or did a gust of wind pull the door open?)..this issue can be addressed by a body shop...good luck..

Our back door (double glazed with locks at top, middle and bottom) has become permanently locked from the inside. It would appear that the lock at the top has bolted shut. (We have safestyle doors and...

Hi, W/D here.

Easy fix. Your upper locking bar has slipped. While someone is holding the door handle in the open position, you'll need to push the upper lock bolt back far enough to get the door open. You can slide it back carefully with a screwdriver or knife, a little at a time, while holding slight tension on the door with the handle. OK, door's open. Remove the inner door lock cover plate. The lever and locking knob will come off with it. Remove the mortise cover plate, on the edge of the door. Insert a small, thin bladed into the upper alignment slot in the lock behind the mortise cover plate, and loosen the upper allen screw behind the inside lock cover plate. Use the screwdriver to engage a slot in the locking bar, and raise or lower the bar until you have it level with the alignment slot. Tighten the allen screw.
Sometimes, the bar is so far out of alignment that you will have to gain access to the other end of the bar, in order to raise or lower it. This is done by removing the plastic cover on top of the door, and using needle nosed pliers to move the bar.
This should fix you up.

Best regards, --W/D--

With this; “Handle, Chassis & Bar Assembly” print; item 67; ChainBrake Assembly; $21.83.

Need parts cant find them i need the part that holds the oil tube in the bar oil tank

I find 2 that may apply

Model 107624 saw; item 9; pn 107721-01; Hose Retainer dead end at RemingtonPower.
Master Parts
cursor down to the “Search For The Following Word(s):” window, type “107721-01” and click the
[To Order Or Search Type Part Number Above And Click Here] bar below.
I was pleasantly surprised to find it, $2.10

Model M30016 saw; items 13 & 14; pn(s) 113030-01 & 113003-01; Oil Reservoir Grommet & Oil Connector. Both available here:
  • Type "YourModelNumber" into the "Search for your unit by Model:" window, then click search.
  • Click the “YourModelNumber” - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
  • Click “View Owners Manual” or "View Illustrated Parts Diagram" link.
  • Type "YourPartNumber" into the “Search for your parts by Part #:” window, then click search.
113030-01 $1.40 & 113003-01 $1.88

I invested quite a bit of time in this that would have been saved had you included a model number. Brevity in a question where the item cannot be seen or touched costs us both time and frustration. Please include the model number in future inquires.

Are you aware RemingtonPower is no longer in production? Soon eBay will be the only source of replacement parts.

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. Thank you for using FixYa and Good Luck. HTH

Marvel, Model 61 RF ww-F made in 7-19-2000

Dear John,

Contact the factory directly at 800-223-3900 8:00am to 5:00 pm EST. I believe the bar pn is 42241938 (for the 2nd and third bar) and the top bar pn is 42241937. (I am going by memory so have them verify it). They also have a kit that has both side hinges and new springs for the freezer door. If you can't get through via phone contact Tim Malloy using He's a little overloaded but should get back to you within a day or two.
