If the spring in the tension discs is not tightened correctly then the tension discs will be lose snd not provide the tension you need to sew.

Can you sew up the front of a button down front on a dress?

Yes you can. Be careful to remove the buttons. It could be nice to sow a decorative ribbon where you sow the front together. Good luck

Thread loops on back using quilt stitch

You need to put more tention into the Corners, Try puttin a tention of 10 into the Quilt. And it should work fine. 10-12 Maximum, don't go pass 12 because it will probably Rip, or Shrill up. Hope this Helped.

Thanks for Using FixYa! -CA

Cotton reel on top, take the thread from the reel to the left and over the top guide, straight down throught the tension discs, back up to the take up lever making sure the lever is at the top, through the lever right to left, straight down through any guides and thread needle front to back.
To wind the bobbin, reel of cotton on top, bobbin on bobbin winder making sure it is pushed to the left, take the thread to the left and round the small wheel and back to the winder, wind the thread round a few times on the bobbin, push the windewr to the right, and loosen the stop motion in the balance wheel.

Bottom stitching loose

If your bottom stitching is loose ie looping it is normally the top tension that needs tightening. Just adjust the tention on your cotton on the top front of your machine. Hope this works.

Thread is to tense and cannot fix bobbin

See if you can find the threading guide or manual online at sewusa.

If you cannot find the exact model, you may find one that is very similar that will show you how to thread, wind a bobbin and insert it into the bobbin case/shuttle.

You can also try these suggestions:

Set the tension to 4.

Lift the presser foot and rethread the machine. It is important to thread in this manner for the tension control to work properly.

I need a threading diagram singer 329k sewing machine

Cotton omn the reel pin, take the thread from the right to the left and through the top cotton guide above the takeup lever, make sure the takeup lever is at the top and make sure the presser foot is up, take the thread down the right hand side, round the tension unit and back up the left hand side to the takeup lever, right to left through the takeup lever and then follow the guides all the way down to the needle and thread front to back, flat side of the needle must face back.
when you put the bobbin in, bobbin in your left hand and the thread must feed from the bottom of the bobbin, drop the bobbin, through the groove and lay the thread to the back.
