Question about Targus Mini Kaleidoscope Optical Retractable - Mouse - - AMU83US
I just purchased the kaleidoscope optical mouse from my university bookstore. It seems to be working fine except that nothing happens when I right click. I use this feature a lot to "copy", "paste", and "save as". Is there anything I can do? The left click works fine.
If you can hear by ear after you click right button same sound as when you push left button, then it will be software problem.....
if you can't hear same sound, then microswitch is broken, or not in proper possition.....
if it's software problem, try to plug it into another usb port, or somebody elses computer, then you will see if problem persists also there....
if it doesn't work on another computer, then it will be mouses problem.... take it back to bookstore and ask them for refund or exchange

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: my targus wireless mouse
I had this happen to me after reprogramming my tv remote too close to my laptop and mouse. Try resetting the reciever and then the mouse by pushing the reset buttons on each one while they are plugged in ( reciever first, then the mouse ).

SOURCE: i have a targus laser
Try this: on the base of the mouse, there's a red syncing button. Press both that and the black reset button on the base of the USB-connected charger. The laser light should become steady after a moment, indicating that the mouse is in sync with the laptop. (during this period the light should be blinking until it is synced) You may have to press the reset button multiple times. Hope this helps.

First thing you need to do is to know that the USB ports of your laptop is really working. Insert another usb devices or storage such a flash disk. If the flash disk being inserted is not recognized by the system then the usb port you had inserted is malfunctioning or it is defective. But if the other usb devices like the flash disk is working then your new bought mouse is defective. Try to plug the usb mouse to the other ports available in your laptop.
