Ok If you have a Walbro WT series carb "without" a built on primer bulb here it is. First off if the fuel lines disintegrated you MUST disassemble it and clean it out. The MOST infintesimle speck of gas line trapped, can allow good prime and bad operation. OK? Don't be lazy on this. Just be delicate removing the flaps gasket and diaphram. ZAMA GND-12 Is the replacement Gasket and diaphram kit fot that carb. Use a cleaner, compressed air or blow good thru it. OK Now...Primer bulb, Carb, and Fuel tank, re connects: Smaller Diameter line comes from Gas tank (Connect filter screen to this in tank) to the short Straight brass carb connector. Primer bulb suction goes to the bent carb brass connector. If small line brings fuel "in" this other line sucks it back "Thru the primer bulb" and the blow side of the primer bulb sends it back to the fuel tank! So...Small Line brings fuel "TO/IN" carb thru short brass connect on carb. Other carb connect goes to bulb suction "IN", Then primer bulb "Pressure OUT" goes thru the larger tube "back to fuel tank". Trust me I know how frustrating a simple diagram is to find online fo this set up. And if you have a carb problem on top of the hook up uncertainty you got frustration. Not only was online help hard to find (Mfg...etc NFG at all!) My local repairshop in BBrook NJ could not tell me how!!! and thats no lie! Walbro has a "generic" carb diagram but no "hook up info" specifically. Poulan don't list it either. And these things routinly fall to pcs. all 3 of mine crumpled together on yr. 3 of use.

Hats off to egor 50!! That was a tremendous help. It solved the problem I was having. Someone rebuilt the carb but in doing so they reversed the lines on the primer bulb. With egor50's help I found the problem Thank you egor50.

Craftsman chainsaw fuel line and fuel filter

go to sears and purchase the fuel filter and fuel line kit for the chainsaw. in that kit will have a hook that you fish through the outside of the tank to the inside, you attach the new fuel line after attaching the fuel line to the fuel filter, to the hook, then pull it through the hole. disconnect the hook from the fuel line, cut the small piece off where the hook made the hole and attach to the carburetor. finish by pushing in the fuel filter inside the fuel tank. the kit will also have more detailed instructions and possibly with illustrations. if sears doesnt have the kit, check with a lawnmower repair shop.

Can a fuel tank breather be unclogged for a craftsman 358? Is the breather the same as the vent plug? I didn't see a fuel tank breather listed in the parts diagram.

Many fuel tanks "breathe" through the gas cap. It lets air in, while keeping the fuel from leaking out at the same time. They also will have two fuel lines going to the tank; one will usually have a weighted filter attached to it so that no matter which way you turn the trimmer, it will fall to the bottom of the tank to pull fuel. The other fuel line will be a return line from the carburetor so that excess fuel pumped into the carburetor can be vented back into the fuel tank.

If you have the original Craftsman part #s from your manual, you can find replacements at PartsBuggy.com's Cross-Reference Page.

Need a diagram of fuel gas lines on a 131 poulan

Lots of research has shown a lack of diagrams on fuel line routing. Your carburetor has the purge/primer bulb on top of it. Just to help you understand how it works....the bulb uses a vacuum effect to pull fuel from the tank directly into the carburetor and the check valves in the plate under the bulb (known as the primer base assembly) push any air and old fuel inside the carb back into the fuel tank. On your model, the line inside the tank with the fuel filter on it will come out and go to the carburetor body BELOW the base assembly. The other line coming out of the tank (fuel return line) will go TO the nipple on the base assembly. The lines should be nice and soft and so should the bulb. They all have to be replaced periodically as alcohol, heat and age deteriorate them. Please post back if needed.

I am replacing all the fuel line including primer bulb on a craftsman mini tiller/cultivator. is there a drawing or diagram to show which line goes where?

I see that this machine has a 2 stroke engine. These directions work on the 2-stroke engines of Sears trimmers. I've never seen a diagram but many explanations are out there.
The small diameter line out of fuel tank (has fuel filter in-tank on end) connects directly to the side of the carburetor that has the fuel pump....that is the cover without the hole in it. Other larger diameter fuel line out of tank connects to the longer nipple on the external purge/primer bulb. The bulb "pulls" fresh fuel from the fuel tank to the carb and then out of the carb to itself, where it then pushes any air/old fuel back into the fuel tank. The remaining larger diameter fuel line in this setup goes from the metering chamber (has cover with writing on it and a vent-hole) side of the carburetor to the smaller nipple on the purge/primer bulb. Again, on the primer bulb, the longer nipple has a line going directly from it to the tank. The shorter nipple on the bub has a line from it going to the metering chamber side of the carburetor. If the purge/primer bulb is on top of the carb...small line from carb body to small hole in tank with filter. Larger diameter line goes from the bulb on the fuel pump side of the carb to the larger hole in the fuel tank where the line is held in place with a nylon nipple connector that keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.

Repairing fuel line on craftsman 32cc weed trimmer.

Cut the end of the line at a sharp angle. Spray WD-40 on the line and fuel tank hole. Slowly screw the line in the tank far enough so you can connect the fuel filter if you are replacing that line. If not just push the line into the tank if you have a two line system. Remember on the fuel primer, the long tip has the line going to the tank, and the short tip has the fuel line going to the carb.

Need diagram on fuel lines on a 26 cc craftsman weed eater

The longest, and sometimes smaller in diameter of the two fuel lines, goes from the carburetor to the bottom of the tank. Leave enough slack in this line so that the filter that attaches to the end will rest comfortably at the bottom of the tank.

The other fuel line goes from the primer bulb to just inside the tank, (about an inch). make sure that you get the right size fuel lines. The plastic coupling goes on the end of this line, inside the tank. This keeps the line from pulling out of the tank.

(HINT): When feeding the lines through the tank holes, cut the lines at an angle. They will feed much easier into the holes. You can than cut them off square, once you know that you have enough to work with.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.
