its in high voltage shutdown. if ya wanna cheat? it'll take a dimmer type switch to cut the voltage in half. slowly till u can turn it on. then full voltage. if it is in high voltage shutdown you then need a technicians eye 2 see the symptom thats causing the problem. remember the shutdown is caused thru a saftey mechnism, and don't burn the house down. my 1000 mile away diagnosis says your voltage regulator or horizontal is out. most problems are power supply related, thus the voltage reg. is bad. if you use a higher current dimmer switch ...its a cheater tool that technicians can use, so be carful. keep an eye on all cords...heat should not be present in any appliance , etc. thats the wire to the wall.
samsung usually doesnt have a code. hide a switched power strip or something behind the tv or unhook it somehow when you're away. you can lock cableboxes and sat boxes sometimes, but i think that panasonic code is a rare thing
if sears adjusted the brakes then the emergency brake handle can come on sometimes this has to be adjusted also ( always be careful when haveing anything power flushed as this can easely pop a seal and start leaking a few weeks down the line
Unhook the power terminal possitive + hook a 12 volt light to it and the battery close all doors and turn off all switches begin removing fuses from the fuse pannel till the light goes out this is your drain.
you could try checking your convergence board, i have a samsung that when powered on the red timer light flashed a few times and then went out , turns out it was my converge board, when i unhooked it the worked again colours were out of align ,but fixed board and all is well
Mine just did the same thing, so i took it all apart and spun the motor with my hands for a few minutes. And it began to work. I think it is just because the motor is seized let me know how you make out.
Error code 12 means normal operation.
On these models we have found that a switch is sticking on the control panel not allowing the set to turn on.
Disconnect the control panel. You will be able to use the remote on it.
To find the plugs for the control panel:
Remove the speaker grill and front panel, then follow the wire to the connection.
Remember to unplug the set before putting your hands inside of it.
Tell me how it went.
