They have a transmition position switch that can go bad. so even though it is in park, the computer is not seeing that it is. the switches are not that expensive, sometime hard to get to though. but that is where i would start

Nuetral switch is worn out I priced it it will cost 254.00 dollars. The car will not start in park I have shift to nuetral it also is begining to wear out. I recently replaced a new ignition key and all....

I'm always amazed at how expensive some of these switches are and I see them every day. Sad to say there really isn't any other option other than to replace the switch in this instance... and if it's failed already when in the Park position then it's just a matter of time until it quits working completely.

I have a 98 escort wagon that wont start replaced

I know this is going to sound stupid, but I've done it before, did you put he car in park? You might also want to try it in neutral also. If neither of these two tests work, you can try to jump across the solinoid on the fender well. Don't stand in front of the car, and make sure that the parking brake is set, just in case it starts and tries to run you down. If jumping across the two big posts cranks the motor, chances are either the solinoid or the electrical half of the ignition switch is bad.

My car wont start and it gots fuel and spark?

Double check the timing belt. It might be on but stripped. Have some one crank it over and look in the oil fill cap to see if the rocker arms are moving when you crank it.

96 taurus wagon goes to neutral when vehicle comes to full stop.

That would be your neutral park switch is bad or broken. If the shifter linkage is not aligned with the neutral park switch it will not work properly. Located on drivers side on top of Trans.
