SOURCE: white screen on xerox xa7 19i
I had the same problem but fortunately I have two of these monitors so could fiddle with the menus on the working monitor until I could work out how to fix it on the one with the white screen problem. Here's what you do:-
With the monitor on and the white screen showing press MENU, then UP 7 times, then MENU and presto! Your screen will be back to normal.
What this does is change the input from ANALOG to DIGITAL (or vice versa!) either way this worked for me.

SOURCE: change the drum on xerox
Here is the pdf for the manual. Check out chapter 2 page 10 it has step by step instructions on installing the drum.. This should help in the removal of the drum also!
Good luck and dont forget to rate my response!!

SOURCE: xerox workcentre m20i power off
First off try unplugging it and leaving it unpluged for 30 minutes. Not just turned off, but unplugged, then plug it back in and see if it works. There are filter capicitors in the low voltage power supply that sometimes have to sit with power removed for 30 minutes before they discharge and allow the power supply to turn on.
Sounds weird but I have seen it fix a dead machine probably 50 times or more. If that doesn't restart then you will have to replace the power supply. If that is the case let me know and I can tell you where to get it from and ho\w to replace it.
Try leaving it unpluged for 30 minutes. not less than 30 minutes.

That is a document feed or scanner fault. Often times it is simply that molex connector working loose. It is the connector mounted vertically next to the main power cord on the right rear side of the machine. That bottom screw can be dificult to tighten. What I would try first is to shut the machine off, unscrew and disconnect that conntecot totally then firmly slide it in and get both the top and bottom screwss tight. Like I said, the bottom thumb screw can be hard to tighten even with a screw driver because it is a pretty soft rubber the tighteners are made out of.
If that doesnt work. go to the back and disconnect the document feed to scanner cables and reconnect. Other than that, you pretty much have to replace the feeder/scaner assembly since very very few parts are spared for that .

Could be the tab that actuates the top cover switch is broken off.
The process unit is your drum, toner, and developer unit. It sits right under the top cover. Big black removeable cartridge.
