Question about Hotpoint Dishwashers
Have just fitted a new door lock and dishwasher is showing dON but cannot programme it for cycles but other buttons work. Can you help
Perhaps you disturbed the interlock for the door lock. Recheck that. Another possible solution is to reset the "computer". Unplug or turn off circuit breaker for a minute or so, and then retry. I hope this helps, but I suspect you've already solved the problem.

If the motor is running, the diverter solenoid valve is probably not functioning. It is attached to the pump. With the power off, take the solenoid apart and remove whatever is jamming it. Toothpicks are a favorite as are any large food particle. It may also be bad. Not the problem...you may have a defective timer or your outlet hose is clogged or kinked.

First switch off the power.
Get the cabinet door off, start by removing the side screws that hold the door (please have someone to help you, holding the door, because this doors are heavy.)
After you removed the door, remove the screws holding the fascia (about 2 on each side + 2 holding the door lock).
Remove the fascia and you wil get acess to the door lock, disconnect the wiring from the micro switch, connect the new par and reverse the process.

Lets try the following hope this works
1.- unplug the appliance, isolate it from the electric supply.
2.- Remove the kitchen unit plinth and check inside the inspection panels below the door to see if there is water in the base.
If there is, sponge it out and then try the machine again.

It sounds as though the Anti-flood device has kicked in,could be due to a leak under the dishwasher,it will need to be pulled out and investigated.
I would also check that there is water at the hose to the machine.
Hope this helps.
