Chat rooms hi, im not really sure if this question is relevant to the forum itself, however someone here may be able to give me some insight, i have always loved the toyota celica and i have now just come into some money meaning i can afford to buy one, im looking at buy one that is around 10 years old, is this a smart thing to do or will it become a drain on money, is there often alot of issues with these cars ??

There is a knob beside the headlights under the hood, fairly good sized, looks like rubber and you can manually turn down your headlights. That happened to my 86 Supra last year and the sync was just off and once I turned them down they started working perfectly. Hope this helps

with the timing belt on the vehicle install the botton piece of the timing cover with crank pulley. line up the notch on the crank pulley with 0 on the timing cover for top dead center on the crank. then there is a small sight hole in the spokes on the camshaft timing gear. with the belt off the timing gear line up that sight hole with a notch behind the gear on the cylinder head. you will only be able to see the notch through the sight hole with a mirror. once these are lined up slide the belt back on the timing gear and recheck afterward. this the procedure for all 5s-fe motors

I would investigate the steering componants ... I saw one that had disengaged the upper and lower ball joints ( connecting the wheel and spindle to the control arms) and had the same symptoms... loose feeling steering once in a while... clicking....

Have it inspected.... seriously !
