There are two options in regards to resetting your 8" tablet.
1.) You can do a Hard Reset by following the instructions within the linked PDF file below. This will not require any downloads or a computer.

2.)You may Reflash the tablet by downloading a few files onto your computer and connecting the tablet to the computer using the USB cord. This could take some time and requires files to be downloaded from online. Instructions for this are below.

You will need to reformat your tablet to factory settings. You will need to download several files onto your computer. You will need to go to our website [http://www.contelusa.net] and clicking on the SUPPORT tab at the top and selecting the DOWNLOAD option from the pull down menu.

You will now need to select your model number. Please note below what files to download based on your model number. File number one will be a PDF document with the instructions on how to reflash/upgrade your tablet.

TAB-840 // TAB-840G: Files #1, 2 & 3 (and file #8 if you need Windows 8 Driver)

Please also note that this will delete all files and apps from your tablet. You will be able to re-download the apps, but files and photos will be lost.

Sounds like a software issue. If possible see if there is a update for the device. That could help with the freezing problem.

HOW CAN I FIX MY TABLET THAT KEEPS FREEZING?


remove the memory card , an reset it . small pin hole in side.
use a free program manager to see what is running at all times . uninstall or disable them programs in your startup.
go to your settings an disable all updates .
it might have a memory or cpu issue too.
