Hi,

How to install sata hdd for mother board asrock m266a

The drive installs physically like any any hard drive. The problem is that this motherboard does not support the SATA protocol. You would need to get an expansion PCI card SATA controller. Even then, since the motherboard BIOS is not set up for SATA, you would not be able to use the SATA drive(s) as the boot device. Also, you would need a Molex to SATA power adapter for your power supply since the SATA power connector is different. And you would need a SATA data cable if the expansion card does not come with one.

I have a mboard of ASROCK M266A but idont know If what type of RAM that im going to use for my DDR socket?

Hi,
Your motherboard support 2x DDR, DDR 266/200 non-ecc RAM. It can support up to 2GB of memory.
You might not be able to buy it brand new on this type of memory, as this model is deemed obsolete.
Hope this helps.
