You can use a link to Permanently delete your facebook account. After you are logged in, open this LINK and click the "Submit" button. Please note that there is no Undo for this. Once you are done, then you can never get it back, so I mentioned "Permanently".

On the Facebook homepage, click on Account at the top-right corner of the page. Then, click the Deactivate link.
This doesn't actually delete or cancel your account. The account will be reactivated if you ever log back into it.
