SOURCE: wirless signal problem

Make sure there is no interference, such as microwaves or cell phones that operate at 2.4ghz. Do you have many thick inside walls between your router and your computer? You could try a signal boosting antenna to attach to your router.

SOURCE: hi, I bought a GARMIN

  • On the screen that says WHERE TO and VIEW MAP there's a TOOLS icon (Picture of a spanner.) Press it.
  • Then press SETTINGS, (the spanner icon) or on some models LOCALE (Blue Icon at the top left corner) replaces the SETTINGS icon
  • Press LANGUAGE (The lips icon)
  • On this page you'll see 3 items; VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
If you need to change the text language press TEXT LANGUAGE and select ENGLISH
To change the voice language press VOICE and select the name of an English speaking voice
If you need to change the keyboard layout press KEYBOARD and select English

If the text language is in Spanish you won't know which icon is which but press each one in turn and you can change each to English. This should solve your problem.

Hi there, there are 2 transit screws at the top of the unit. Unscrew those. If it fully comes out then take them out, or else just unscrew it till its loose. This should solve your problem.

You have only conected the live feed, that will cause the light to come on but not switch on. You must conect the switched live feed as well, then it will turn on.

Good luck

Mac OS X 10.5 Install Problem

If it's at all possible overclock your PC.Have some one whose experienced and confident when they attempt it.If 200mhz is all the boost thats required, than you should be able to reach that requirement. Some PC's overclocking can't be done.On the other hand, you may have one that can.In case you are wondering what that means:Overclocking is pushing the engine(example) of your PC faster than the factory set it.In my eyes ,if the PC has adjustments in the Bios to make it faster ,then , why not give it a boost. It will work if 200mhz is all you need.Again only a PC tech. should do this.
Keep me posted!!

My First RAM Upgrade-Any Tips

Ah you have found out one of the great things about confusing naming standards. Often times, 200Mhz memory is called 400Mhz if it is DDR because DDR stands for "Double Data Rate".

It still operates at 200Mhz speed, but since it doubles the data it is sometimes refered to (wrongly) as 400Mhz.

On the upside, all DDR-I ram is backwards compatible. So there should be no problems. However sometimes different memory sticks dont play well together.

What I would do is this:

1) Shutdown computer, UNPLUG computer - wait 5 minutes
2) Open computer
3) Remove old Ram stick and replace with the new stick
4) Replace cover, plug in and boot to windows.

If everything works fine, then do step 1-2 again, but this time add the old stick you removed before, and place it in the unused slot.

Again check that the computer functions properly. If it does not, remove the old stick.
