Question about Nordic Track GX 4.5 Cycle

Open Question

Freewheel clutch bearing slips

I need to replace the freewhel clutch bearing, but I have been unable to find a supplier. The bike is slightly over a year old and Nordic Track will only sell me the entire "Eddy Mechanism" which costs more than I paid for the bike when it was new. It began slipping occasionally after a few months and gradually got worse. Now it breaks loose one the first turn of the peddles. I believe I can fix it if I could find a one-way, or a freewheel clutch, bearing to fit it.

Have you tried adjusting the rear roller bolts with an allen wrench? That usually works for me.

Unfortunately now I have a slipping problem that tightening the belt via the roller bolts doesn't fix. In fact, I feel as if the belt is too tight as it only lifts about 2" instead of the recommended 3-4". Hope we get some other ideas here!

SOURCE: our belt is slipping on our nordic track c1900

I have the same unit. First, remove the hood. Then, the motor has an adjustment screw on the belt side of the motor. Loosen the nut a little, adjust the motor up or down to make the belt as tight as you can by hand, then re-tighten the nut. This always fixes mine.

SOURCE: nordic track c2000 belt slips

I would try to tighten the rear roller a little and see if that helps.
1 start the treadmill and operate it at 1.5 mph then hild onto the handle bar and plant your foot against the belt at the front. If it slips tighten the roller 1/4 turn on each side. Then try the slip test again and repeat the process, do not tighten it too tight that will cause the belt to fold in teh center and be ruined. You May quite possible need a new belt. Take the belt lose and look at the underside and see if it;s glazed (shinny) or has pieces missing under the center of the belt, if so replace the belt and also clean the rollers front and rear, also flip the deck over it shoudl have a wax coating on the other side if that hasn;'t already been done.

Kneel next to the left side of the elliptical's base. Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten the two screws located in the center of the left pedal.

Use the Allen wrench to remove the bolt securing the left pedal arm to the pedal leg and body arm. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw securing the rear end of the pedal leg to the crank arm.

Pull the end of the pedal leg free of the crank arm. Wipe the crank arm clean, then apply a fresh coating of machine grease or silicone lubricant. Replace the end of the pedal leg back onto the crank arm and use the previously removed screw to secure it back into place.

Join the front end of the left pedal arm to the ends of the pedal leg and body arm. Use the previously removed bolt to connect the pieces together.

Move to the right side of the elliptical and repeat the above steps on the right pedal arm.

How do you take the crankset off of a 2010 kona blast

The problem is not in the crankset, its in the freewheel or cassette in the back wheel. The crankset is always free, and doesn't have anything to do with the skipping. Take your back wheel to the local bike shop, as it takes special tools to remove the freewheel.

It is the rear freewheel assembly causing the problem. if is fixable, but you have to be good with tools, the bicycle shop and the electric bike shop both said they couldn't fix it, but is is doable. 1. you need a special bmx tool that fits that back wheel, your local bike shop should have it in stock. 2. you need to remove the freewheel sprocket and disgard it along with the the bearings (make sure to unscrew the razor chain sprocket from the freewheel assembly and secure it for reuse). 3. either purchase a new freewheel sprocket for bmx wheel or remove one from a old bike (again you will a special tool for that). 4. screw the razor chair sprocket onto the new BMX sprocket (it goes on with the same 4 original screws, right over the sprockets. 5. Screw the freewheel back onto the rim now. tada its fixed.

Chain is turning but the rear wheel is not moving

What??? RLtoFixYa doesn't know what they are talking about. Your problem is a faulty/broke "one way roller clutch" which is threaded onto the rear wheel. I've already replaced 2 on my son's MX500.....

My son's Schwinn Ranger is the problem. the back wheel and the back sprockets are "freewheeling". When you pedal the sprockets spin but are not connected to the hub, you can pedal forwards...

ok well its best decided how to fix it if you can tell me what style of rim and freewheel you have if the freewheel goes all the way to the tip of the axle then its more than likely a cassette style rim and if it appears hollow at the axle end and you can somewhat see inside the freewheel then i would just buy a freewheel cassette for it because in most cases a faulty freewhell body cant be serviced and need replaced when they fail up on you another cause of this is riding in the winter so find out what kind it is and message me back ok ill better inform you of the best possible way to ride happier longer :) this is also a super common problem ok

1972 Honda CB750K2. Clutch started slipping at high speed (over 75mph). No noticeable slipping at lower speeds even when punching it through the gears. Also has a slight chatter when sitting in nuetral,...

hi,it sounds like your bike is just about due for a new set of clutch plates(my gsxr race bike did the same thing, put in new plates..problem gone),as far as the rattle or chatter this is normally caused by weak clutch springs or in some cases the clutch basket its self may be worn, not a big job to replace either, most clutch kits come with new fibre plates ,new steel plates and new springs, fit a new kit in the bike and i think most if not all your problems will disappear...cheers
