I am not sure if this is a problem with power supply. Yesterday suddenly my machine stopped working. I wasnt using it. It just shut off. Now when I started the cpu, I see one green LED on the mother...

the problem is in your motherboard..this most cause unregulated flow of power from the source electric..but if the green led is off so its the processor.try to test it with a motherboard tester..or get another board that same spec with the you have, and transfer the processsor if it is working

In asus P5VDCMX motherboard power led and ide led doesnot glow but pressing power switch cpu fan runmonitor screen blank.

Ok,here's a basic troubleshooting list. First,if it has an onboard video port, switch to it or to an agp card, whichever isn't the current hook up. Try a different monitor too when doing this. This is to see if it's a video issue. Next, take one ram stick out at a time & keep trying to boot, if it eventually does, the stick you just removed is bad. If you spliced any fans or lights in, make sure they aren't grounding on the case. If you just put this board in,the case is probably grounding the board.Remove the board & make sure the standoffs are in the right spots(lined up with the holes on the board),adjust as neccesary & then re-install,try again. Being that there's no lights, I think that grounding scenario is going to be the issue. Lastly, try a different power supply,if that doesn't work the board is bad, hopefully the cpu survived.

Panasonic projection TV does not turn on.

Power LED flashes orange 1 x 5 secs. = 1 of 3 fans stopped. TEMP LED flashes 1 x 5 secs, = Temperature error. Lamp LED flashes 1 x 5 secs. = lamp ballast error. (check lamp 1st.)
Hope this helps.

Main MB powers on for about 15 sec then shuts down, power supply and front panel control both good, how can i get replacement MB

Check the CPU heat sinks and fans. Replace heat transfer material. If it powers up and doesn't stay on very long, it could possibly be detecting overheat or cpu fan stopped and shutting down.

Thinkcentre M55 8806 power on off problem

May be your computer motherboard wires connection get loose or getting moisture in wires. Or there may be some earthing problem in ur power switch. First, check the wires connection & tighten up properly. if problem persists, check the earthing by power tester. Check you RAM if it is properly tight in the jack.

GA-7VRX Motherboard won't boot

Hi sebaswis, am I correct that this Gigabyte GA-7VRX is a replacement MB? (I read your other posted questions). http://www.fixya.com/support/t1399506-computer_boot_when_power You mentioned you put your old system back together & it worked fine. If mother board is shorted to the system case you will see the CPU fan spin for a second. Most motherboards use a green led which represents there is stand-by power running to the board.(This is normal). I am unsure why your led is orange. (Its not mentioned in your manual & manual does not show the led?s location). Was the other GA-7VRX MB led always orange or was it also green? Suggest you disassemble the heat-sink from the CPU. You mentioned you installed a new XP 2500+ CPU. If a pin on the CPU was bent during installation of CPU into the socket or if no thermal grease was applied or too little to the top of CPU, either would give you: CPU fan spins for a second & nothing else seems to run. Look over the link provided below. It is a guide to how to install a motherboard. (You may not need this but Its worth going over all the steps). http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/145 As far as the power supply. If the MB's are the same (GA-7VRX) & the old system ran with 220W, the newer one should also function. Clarify these questions for me sebaswis. Mike

Asus 945 motherboard is in stand by mode. When I power on , the LED of mother board is glow The cpu fan just jurking and stop. And the LED of motherboard is still now glow.

Hi kausik, that green led you see on the motherboard is just letting you know there is power to the board. (This is normal).
You'r CPU fan jerking & stopping is a bad thing & has nothing to do with standby mode. Your CPU fan needs to be replaced.
There are a bunch of Asus 945 boards, just click the link to see.

If you are able to remove the fan from the heatsink than you may be able to buy a fan from here.

Most people replace both heat sink & fan.

Have more questions, feel free to ask.
Good Luck!
