Question about Aktimate Micro Black Open Box 2-way Active Speaker System with iPod

Not getting power

When I first bought the speakers they worked perfectly fine. After a while they lost power and couldn't function. They randomly turned back on after a few days but once again ended up losing power and since then they haven't worked. I've tried replacing the fuse and still nothing.

Kenwood KAC-8103D on and off problem

it sounds like the power wire might be grounding out somewhere that you dont know of it could be by the fuse link so I would say put electrical tape on any exposed wire on the fuse link first if that don't work try change the power wire.

Speaker buzzing at random

It sounds like the socket on your computer is becoming worn or has a loose solder joint.

If you feel comfortable with a fine tipped soldering iron and stripping your computer down I would take a look there first.

Also check the power supply for the speakers to make sure it is not getting too hot.

check the amp. the "switches" gain, bass boost...etc they might be over powering your subs and heating them up. if those are fine then you mite want to try your subs on another amp...it migt just be that the subs are easily over heating.

Speakers cut out randomly

The only thing i can think of is the amount of power surging into the speakers is too great and they are cutting of to avoid blowing out. I have a similar issue with my surround sound if i turn it up too loud.
