Try an external monitor & see if it will work. If it does, then this might be a sign of a faulty LCD cable or screen inverter board. The
LCD cable transfers data signal from the motherboard & video card
to the LCD screen. It also supplies high voltage DC power to the screen
inverter board. The screen inverter board works as a power supply for
the backlight lamp mounted inside the LCD screen. It converts low
voltage DC power to high voltage AC power needed for the backlight lamp.
What is wrong with the backlight? The computer screen is just dark? I would start with the inverter. The inverter is usually the problem when the screen goes dark but people think it is the backlight. The backlight alone is very hard to change too. Go with the inverter, I would bet that is the issue.
Panic!! lol just kidding. I am assuming that the uninstall feature is not working? First you should always try to uninstall using the uninstall feature BUT if that doesnt work try this link. Most antivirus makers have an uninstall utility to remove traces of their products. http://www.avg.com/us-en/download-tools
Maybe, however there are a few things you can do to stablize the computer.First of all the system fan and the vents needs to be cleaned, secondly you need to put thermal grease between the processor and the heat sink. This should stop the computer from shutting down.As for the system time you can check the cmos battery or change it.
Good luck
first restart your laptop
then when you switch on the laptop the continuously move your finger on touchpad
check the mouse setting and change to mouse coursor moving high
It sounds to me that you have starter problems or connection chaffing.
There ia a component called a starter that connects to the video portion of the MB. the starter then connects to the backlight to fire the backlight up and you could be having one that is dying fast. Seek a professional to replace or get the specific one from a distributer and install yourself if you have the ability. The wires that go from the video to the starter travel through the hinge section and over time these can wear and cause inteference to the screen. Might want to check this out also. Make sure you are experienced before attempting to open up a laptop. The final cause (worst case) could be the video itself, in which case your sunk and need a new MB.
DC Power Jack is most like defective.
Typically bad/cold solder joint.
Since this is a 3 state 2 prong jack, it would be best to locate and OEM Jack and replace- simply reflowing or resoldering does not always fix it.
3 State means
the battery will charge with AC on and Laptop off
the laptop will work with the AC on
the laptop will work with the AC off and battery charged
Worse case scenario an on board fuse blown (rare)
