I have a small daewood refrigerator with icebox. If I want to lower the temperature do I increase or decrease the number?

Good question :>) You should always have a small thermometer in the fridge and freezer.

Most refrigerator temperature settings are controlled with a dial or slider. They are sometimes labeled 1 through 5 or 1 through 9. If you are not sure what to set it to, then set it somewhere in the middle. If the dial is numbered 1 to 5 set it on 3, if the dial is numbered 1 to 9, then set at 4. USUALLY the higher the number on the temp control dial, the colder the temperature your refrigerator will get. If your drinks and food are not as cold as you like, set the temperature dial up one number higher. If it is at 3 and you want your food colder, set it to 4 and test 12-24 hours later to see if your food is at the temperature you need.

My fridge keeps freezing how do i change the temp settings

Hi!!

You didn't mentioned brand and model of your fridge, so I will give you a general answer.

Usually the controls are in the fridge compartment, either on the right or back upper wall. Usually is one control for the freezer and another for the fridge. The normal settings should be about 1/3 of the dial's range, ie. If dial have 9 numbers, the setting should be between 3 and 4, depending on use and outside temp.

Wait 24 hrs. between adjustments to allow the system to stabilize.

.NOTE:
The Freezer Temp. Dial is the main temp. controller, if you set it too low, it may not have time to cool fridge side properly.

Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!!

Refrigerator freezes food regardless of dial setting. Control board?

Thank you. The part number you need is 240383703 at $146.18 thru Sears and is the control for the refrigerator not the freezer. The refrigerator control operates the opening and closing of the damper door which lets air pass from the freezer to the fresh food. The control is keeping the door open longer than it should. Hope this helps. Worth the repair and has been one of the most common problems with this model.

Fax not being sent

Somehow, a group dial # has been set. Here is how to delete it:
NOTE: Group Dial Numbers are entered using the One-Touch keypad on the left hand side of the WorkCentre. To change a Speed Dial that is within a Group Dial, the Group must be deleted first.
  1. Press the [Menu] button.
  2. On the left hand side of the Control Panel press the One-Touch [12] button.
  3. The LCD Display will read 'Select One-Touch for Group [01-20]'.
  4. Press the One-Touch key to be used for the Group Dial.
  5. One of two displays will appear:
    • If the Group Dial number has not been used:
      1. The LCD Display will read 'Group No: ### 1. YES 2. NO'.
      2. Using the Dialing Keypad press [1] to accept or
      3. Press [2] to return to step four.
      4. The LCD Display will read 'Enter One-Touch / Speed Dial> ##'.
      5. Continue with step 6.
    • If the Group Dial number has been used:
      1. The LCD Display will read 'Group ## Used 1: Renew 2: Other'.
      2. Using the Dialing Keypad press [1] to 'Renew'. This will cancel the Speed Dial or Group Dial entry and the Group Dial will be deleted.
      3. Press [2] to keep the current entry and select another Group Dial
      4. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
        Thanks, Joe
