Question about Sony BDP-S360 DVD Player
It won't play dvds from the uk. How do I unlock the regions
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I don't think that it is illegal to change the region of a DVD player as a DVD drive in a computer can be changed easily up to 5 times before they are locked on one region. Sony Blu-Ray players at this point don't have a hack code and they have to have a hardware mod to play both region A and B Blu-Ray discs. There are inexpensive Phillips DVD players that are region free or they have an easy method to make them region unlocked. I don't know of any Blu-Ray players that have that feature, but you can get a N. American region coded player that will play both PAL and NTSC, but you will have to use a voltage converter as N America is 120V 60Hz and Europe is 220-240 @ 50hz.
The other option is to get a Blu-Ray/DVD RW drive for your computer and set it as a region 1drive and connect it to the TV for playing US discs.
There are other things you can do but those ARE illegal or questionable and I can't post them here.
Best of luck

Testimonial: "I still couldn't get the info i needed from the links, so unless i'm missing something the advice wasn't helpful."
Turn on the unit with the remote controller, Wait until "no disc" appears in the unit's display. Press the keys: PAUSE, 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9. And "CODE" will appear in the display. Press the number key that corresponds to the disc zone you want to play within the next 5 seconds:0: All regions / 1: Region#1 / 2: R#2/... and so on. Then, within 5 seconds, press: PAUSE, POWER... and voilà. If you don't have good results, disconnect the equipment and repeat.
Put your player in standby mode and then enter: [ [ENTER] Default Default region code [ENTER] or [UP] [ENTER] Region 1 [ENTER] or [RIGHT] [ENTER] Region 2 [ENTER] or [DOWN] [ENTER] Region 3 [ENTER] or [LEFT] [ENTER] Region 4 [ENTER] or [TITLE] [ENTER] Region 5 [ENTER] or [DVDMENU] [ENTER] Region 6 [ENTER] or [RETURN] [ENTER] Region 7 [ENTER] or [DISPLAY] [ENTER] Region 8
Put player into standby modes by pressing power button on remote control. Then press Title button. Press Clear button. Press Power button.
I found these codes for all the other DVP-SR series players, yours was not listed but I thought was worth a try.
