  1. Choose a laptop or WiFi device that is currently connected to your network. If none of your devices are connected, use an Ethernet cable and connect a computer or laptop directly to your wireless gateway.
  2. Open a web browser and go to the Admin Tool (http://10.0.0.1) - this is the wireless gateway's administration site. The default settings are:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: password (case-sensitive)
      how6361image002.png
    • Note: If you changed your Admin Tool password previously, you will need to use your new login information. If you don't remember your Admin Tool password, you will need to factory reset your wireless gateway. Instructions on how to do this can be found by reviewing the wireless gateway user guides at Wireless Gateway Guides.
  3. On the left navigation menu, select Gateway, then Connection and then Wi-Fi.

  4. Under Private Wi-Fi Network, you'll see the Name (SSID) of your WiFi network. (You may want to write down this information.)
    • Wireless Gateway 1 customers, click EDIT at the right.
    • Wireless Gateway 2 customers, click EDIT for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to view the settings for each. ?

  5. Check the box next to Show Network Password. The Network Password (Network Key) will be displayed above. (You may want to write down this information.)

    • On this page, you can also edit your wireless network information, including changing your Network Name (SSID) or Password (Network Key). If you make any changes, remember to click SAVE SETTINGS.

How to find wpa key

You can find the wpa key by loging into the router interface, and checking the wifi settings. You will have to be connected with an Ethernet cable or use a computer that is already connected to your wifi.

Start by getting the ip address of the router:
1.Press the "windows"+"R" keys (this will open the "Run" dialog box)
2.Enter "CMD" in the Run window, and press ok
3.In the Command Prompt window enter the following command "ipconfig" and press enter
4. locate the Ethernet adapter or local area connection if using an Ethernet cable. If you are using a wifi connection, you want to locate the wireless Ethernet connection.
5.Under one of those headings you want to locate the "Default Gateway" address. It will most likely be similar to one of the following: 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1
6.Open a web browser and enter the address you found under the default gateway.
7.You will get a login page for your router. Usually the login formation is as follows:
admin/admin
admin/password
admin/leave the password blank
9.Once you have logged in you want to locate the wifi/wireless menu on the page.
10.Here you will find the wifi password

Everytime i try to connect to the internet it says This webpage is not available

You need to confirm you are actually connected to the internet next. In the Wifi menu that you get to by double clicking the "pc" on the task bar you will see 3 tabs. If the first tab does not have all the IP, sub-net and default gateway filled in with legal numbers then you are not connected. Furthermore if you have an "IP Address:" that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx then you are not connected to the internet.

If your Wifi setup includes a security phrase then under the wireless information tab it will take the following steps: "associating with.....", then "authenticating with...." then "connected to...."

The easiest way to tell if the problem is within a Sylvania Netbook running Win CE 6 is to take it to a McDonalds or other non-secure wifi location and see if it connects.

If it connects there but doesn't connect at "home" then your problem is between the netbook and your home setup not purely a Wifi not working issue.

There is a Wifi driver update available at the www.digitalgadgets.com website as well as the Sylvania Netbook Yahoo group. There are some additional troubleshooting steps at the Yahoo group.

The wireless light will not come on and I can't connect to the internet

By default the wireless function of this gateway is on, check if you can find the SSID using your PC. Default ssid of the gateway is always 2WIREXXX where the xxx are the last 3 digits of your Serial number
If you can't detect the wifi, open the GUI of the router and configure wifi inside it, you will need the system password to get in. you can find the system password on the gateway. look for the sticker.

Cannot connect to wifi in psp

Hi zablancruzma,

To be able to connect your psp wirelessly you need to know the settings of your router. I've listed the steps on how to get the information on your router and Connecting your psp to the internet.

How to access the Router:

1. You need to know the ipaddress of your router. You can refer to the manual or check the Default Gateway of your computer (Make sure that you connect the computer to the router using an ethernet cable for you to get the Default Gateway). Click on START then RUN. Type CMD on the small box on the lower left of the screen. Type IPCONFIG on the black window and get the value of your DEFAULT GATEWAY (it starts with 192.168.x.x)

2. Open a Browser, Type the DEFAULT GATEWAY on the address bar of your Browser. It will ask you for a username and password. (Refer to the manual of your router or post a reply so that i can provide you the username and password of your router)

3. Go to the Wireless Settings Page of your router. Look for the SSID or the Network Name and the Network Key or Passphrase. You can personalize it so that you can easily remeber the details.

4. Make sure you connect to your SSID and enter the Network Key to make it secure.

How to connect your PSP

1. Open Psp
2. Go to Network Settings
3. Go to Infrastructure Mode
4. New Connection (then select available connection)
5. Under Wlan Setting choose Enter Manually or Scan your SSID
6. SSID (Select your SSID)
7. Wlan Security Setting (WEP/WPA/WPA2)

and lastly Rate me if this helps so i can help others.

When I try to connect via my home wifi network, the error message "No gateway found" appears. I have put in the WEP key.

Hi,

You would receive this message when you are trying to connect to a wifi network if any of this is the problem;

1. The wifi network you are trying to connect to has a connectivity problem and hence you are having that error message.

2. The wifi is available but has not connectivity to the internet.

Sorry this possibly means that your home wifi network has some problems.

Voyager A210 Laptop shows when connected to wifi "Limited or no connectivity"although others are connected on same router at the time. I have removed wifi program and reinstalled No difference

This is just a try. Find out the Default Gateway on the other computers. If they are using a static IP then you need to get on. At someone else's computer click Start and Run and enter Cmd and click OK.

Now type in ipconfig /all. Look for IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS Servers. Write it all down. Then find an available IP address by using the Ping command.

In the same Window, type in ping and the IP Address of the computer you are at. That's just to show you what it looks like when you find an IP already taken. You'll see "reply from..." with the address you just pinged. Now ping again but change the last octal in the IP (the last number) in the IP address to something under 256. And ping again. Do this until you get a message "request timed out". You've just found an available IP.
