How do hook up the wireless unit to laptop?

There must be two items (at least) for the unit to work ... a transmitter and a receiver. The keyboard will have a transmitter internal to it. There should be a receiver unit (either a dongle or a USB cabled unit) that connects to a port on the laptop. They communicate together to wirelessly pass the keyboard data to the laptop. Without the laptop part the keyboard in just a door stop.

My keybord type is incorrect word

Check the wiring connector of your keyboard. If your unit is lap top your should open the unit to clean the connectors but before you do anything in your unit be sure to turn it off before touching anything. Check the flex of the lap top if there is no loose or cut wiring.
If you are using a Disktop computer check the cable of your keyboard and open your keyboard then inside you will see a small printed circuit board with a electronic component within this board cut the cable in 10 inches then connect it again in the PCB using a soldering iron.

I have acer travelmate 2420 and i am unable to write some character in caps using shift+, but i can write them with caps lock on.

hello

i suggest replacing the keyboard-- here are instructions how to remove keyboard

pleade rate me with 4 thumbs up

if you go to this link to make a purchase, http://www.hootoo.com/acer-travelmate-2420-laptop-keyboard-p-51629.html?gclid=CJOHkbernaYCFQO8KgodvQmzoQ

detach the power cord from notebook and remove the battery.
You need to remove the cover where the power button is located, be careful as there is a ribbon cable attatched to the mainboard under here to pulling to vigorously may cause the cable to get pulled out. Then you need to remove the screw(s) holding the keyboard down, once this is done lift the keyboard away from the and lay it face down on the unit so that you can see the mainboard. You need to look where the keyboard connects, to the left of it you are looking for a switch block, if you have one of these then you need to switch the switch labelled "1" to the other position and turn the unit on and enter the bios, this should bypass the password. Once done turn the unit off and and put the switch back to its original position. Then you need to put the unit back together.
If you dont have a block of switches you're looking for two triangle shaped solder contacts on the mainboard in the same area to the left of the keyboard connect, they should be pretty easy to find as they are the only triangular shaped contacts around here, you need to short these out, and turn the unit on while still shorting them and enter the bios, this should clear the bios."

Acer wireless keyboard kg-0917 right side of keyboard stuck on numbers

On that keyboard, the numpad is integrated into the alphabetical keys on the right side of the keyboard. You have to fit Fn + NumLk in order to turn the NumLock off and make it work normally again.

At times the "Caps Lock" key will freeze in the on or off position for no reason and will force me to turn off the keyboard and then turn it back on to reset. What is the cause and how do I prevent this...

Has this keyboard been subject to a liquid spill?
You say "turn off the keyboard," so I assume the keyboard is wireless?

This is clearly a hardware issue. If it continues, I would suggest replacing the keyboard (under warranty, if it is less than year old) or returning to the wired keyboard that came with the original unit.

When my keboard was connected to the system unit there was light on the keyboard but all the key are nt responding

Turn you computer off. Check to see if the keyboard is plugged in all the way. Now turn the system on.
Do the lights on the keyboard flash when the system turns on?
Can you push the caps lock key and get the caps lock light to turn on?
Can you push the numlock key and get the numlock light to turn on?

No? Well I would then try another keyboard. It's quite possible yours is broken.

System unit error in pentium 3 compaq presario

304 error reffers to keyboard error. Verify if your keyborad is properly plugged in, also verify if it's working (pressing Num Lock will turn on the led, pressing again will turn off).
If you plugged in an USB keyboard it won't work, it is necessary to be present an PS/2 keyboard.

R60 laptop keyboard removal

Samsung R60 plus laptop keyboard removal

Hi - It's relatively easy!

Remove battery.

Close (but not latch) the lid.

Gently press each hinge cover at the rear of the unit where it meets the base unit (You'll see a joint in the plastic) and get a satisfying click as it lifts. Carefully open the unit almost flat (- careful!) and use a small rounded watchmaker's or preferably similar dimension plastic / wood implement to lift the hinge through the hinge recesses until the switch/indicator plate clicks out at each edge. Then gently use light pressure to remove the rest of the plate away from the keyboard top side. There is a lifting point above the keyboard between the Pause and Insert keys if you need to apply a little extra pressure. There are several moulded clip pieces along the front (keyboard edge of the plate). There are no screws or wired connectors underneath - so lift away. There are two screws underneath the case which hold the keyboard in one either side of the CD/DVD drive locating screw. Turn the machine back over and locate the three plastic lugs in th case at the lower edge of the keyboard. Located near CTRL, Spacebar centre and Down Cursor keys, gently press each one towards the front of the machine with a flat edged implement starting centrally at the same time carefully lifting the keyboard unit. There is a flat ribbon cable connected underneath don't tug it but manouver the keyboard so that you can release it properly.

Job Done!

Replacement is an exact reversal of the removal process - use gentle care and firmly placed pressure to click the various plastic lugs int place.

Now ... about that spilt milk in the keyboard .....!
