I have had a cd disc stuck in my jvc xl-v440bk cd deck for a number of years. i happened to come across a model of similar vintage: jvc xl-v311bk (manufactured 1989). the remote from 440 model works on the 311. i have a manual from 440 but none for the 311. my questions are: can the disc be removed from 440 or should i just use the 311? where can i get a manual for the 311? lora THANKS

SOURCE: cd changer won't open

try to open by hand, see if the tray is stuck.
opening by hand is you turn the motor.
if you put a power supply direct to the motor the pcb will be burnt
(giving a bigger problem).
Look for mechanical problems.

SOURCE: stuck disc in JVC CD player

It wasn't a car cd player, but a component for a stereo.  I took off the case and shook the player until the disc dropped out.  We plan to replace the player, so no further help is needed.  Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.

SOURCE: Discs stuck inside CD Player. Screen says ''Reading.''

Try resetting the CD (Cambridge soundworks) by unplugging, then repluging. Then hold down the eject button while you turn on the power.

It sounds like you may have a stuck or bad switch. Try checking to see if any of the buttons are jammed. If they all seem fine, you will need to check the switches with a multimeter set to check resistance.

The 200 disc cd changer, model JVC XL-MC334, gets the cds stuck when trying to spin the carosuel around.

this is most difficult cause if you are a technician you got to change or clean the optic sensors and put on time the mechanism changer......
