Hi Guys,
I have the same corrupted file, but you can recover it by using the GoldWave software. Just type"Goldwave" in google, follow the link and download the software, install it. From that software open the corrupted file, and then save it as a new copy. ( It will fix the problem when opening the file, where you can see it). They try to play the new saved file, shld be fine.
all the best.

This happens to me quite frequently with the Denpa MP-38. If I harvest the files more frequently, the corruption is less often.
This is an annoying bug that makes the device quite useless.
It seems if I allow the Denpa to record for over 24 hours, the .wav file is always corrupt.

My Digital Wave player wont open up so I can access my recordings. Thanks.

If you can move the .wav file to the PC it should be able to play with all mediaplayers available (for example, Windows Media player). The .wav format is very well supported, but it takes a lot of disk space: a cd in .wav format is about 600 Mb for 1 hour of music. Speech might be smaller.

You can use CDEX or AUDACITY (both free) on the PC to convert the .wav file to .mp3 (which is much smaller).

What does the manual of your VN3100 say about connecting the device to the PC and copying the files? It could be as simple as drag and drop in My Computer if it gets a drive letter.

When I connect my voice recorder to my computer, it informs me that the files are corrupted and that the drive is not readable. I can play back the files on the device, but I can't transfer the files...

Well if you want to go the ghetto route you could always playback the files really close to a webcam or desktop microphone and use windows recorder to make .wav files which you can then convert to whatever type you need.

Transfer datas from Denpa to computer

Might be able to help you out but need some more information...
1. What type of PC (IBM/Mac) do you have?
2. What OS (Windows 95/98/NT/ME/XP/Vista/Leopard/Linux etc.) are you operating on?
3. Do you have CD that shipped with unit and USB cable?
4. Does your computer 'see' the unit as a removable drive when connected?
5. What model Denpa is it?
I'll check back in a few days to see if you're still looking for a solution - have you successfully transferred files before?

Cannot play .HGL files once files have been downloaded to my computer

Unless you have specific software to play the .hgl files (you could do an internet search for "hgl player"+"audio" to try and find a standalone .hgl player if you want to try this route) then you'll need the program Converter 1.4 that comes on the CD shipped with the product. This software is a program that decodes the compressed recording file (the .hgl) and converts it into a .wav file that can be played using most any PC media player; from there, you can listen to it or recode it as an .mp3 or whatever you want to do with it.
Hope that helps.

Can't erase

I think I know your problem, but if it doesn't work I'm sorry. I'm not the best when it comes to technology. Don't play it while you're erasing and hold down the erase button 'til you here a beep. I hope this works.
