How do I remove the list of blocked calls on Panasonic KX-TGA470

Note: the handset is model KX-TGA470. The phone base system model may be KX-TG7731 or another KXTG7741. Other model numbers also use this handset.

You have to remove the entries in this list individually. Press Menu followed by the following # 2 1 7 . Select a number in the Blocked call list (with the up/down arrows) and select Erase. Use the up/down arrows to highlight Yes and then press Select. Alternatively, you can use navigate the menu system and look for Initial Setting and then Call Block. Press Select to enter the sub-menus. See page 41 of the manual for the section on Editing the Call Block list. See page 37 to see the menu tree for the Initial Settings sub-menu. The manual is available here: https://panasonic.encompass.com/shop/model_research_docs/?file=/MSC/om/KXTG263SK.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Tip

Service menu codes panasonic

I provide this information for those that are qualified and trained to do TV repair work. Entering or making changes in service mode by untrained persons can cause significant and permanent damage to your television. If you are not qualified to service your television, please DO NOT ENTER these service menu codes.

Panasonic TV's after 1996 can be set to "Serviceman Mode" with the
following remote control sequence:

-select the SET-UP icon and select CABLE mode.
-select the TIMER icon and set the SLEEP timer for 30 minutes.
-press the ACTION button twice to get out of the menus.
-change to channel 124.
-adjust the volume to minimum (0).
-Hit the VOL down button on the TV itself (not on
the remote) and a red "CHK" should appear in the upper corner.
-press the ACTION and VOLUME DOWN buttons (again, on the
TV, not the remote) you will toggle between AGING and SERVICEMAN modes.

Select Serviceman mode. The POWER button on the remote control will
select one of the five Serviceman Adjustment modes.

The modes are:

B - Serviceman VCJ SUB Adjustments. These include sub-tint,
sub-color, sub-brightness, sub-contrast, colorkiller/ABL/gamma,
audio and video adjustment, and vertical size.

C - Serviceman VCJ Cut-off adjustments. These include Red, Green
and Blue cut-off, red and blue drive, automatic fine tuning
(AFT), RF AGC (RF gain control), horizontal center, beam limit,
etc.

S - Serviceman Options Adjustments. These involce the PIP and
clock.

M - Serviceman MTS (Stereo/SAP) adjustments.

CHK - the mode you first entered. Normal picture and sound, lets
you check things over and still have a hotkey into the
service menu.

There is one more adjustment that isn't in the five modes, it's
global. When in either the yellow or red CHK mode, you can press
RECALL on the remote control to enter the purity field check mode.
This lets you select a pure white, red, green, or blue screen. A
good thing to walk away from if you just want to temporarily freak
out the floor manager, but it will be fixed as soon as the TV is
turned off. Oh well.

To get out of Serviceman mode, press ACTION and POWER on the
receiver simultaneously for at least 2 seconds. The TV will momentarily
shut off and then comes back on.

I have a toshiba 42HL196 tv and i am trying to connect it to an external antenna. I cant find a channel scan option in the setup menu. The menu on my tv is not the same as the toshiba video.

First check the current source. Press the Input button on the TV (second from the left) or on the remote (below 9) until the correct Antenna input (Ant 1) is selected. Make sure that the antenna is connected to Ant 1 (the RF connection closest to the back HDMI ports). You only use Ant 2 if you have a coaxial (RF) cable connection. Then press Menu and then try the Setup menu again. You should be able to access the Installation menu and Terrestrial sub-menu now. Change the Input Configuration for Ant 1 to Antenna before attempting to Program Channels.

If this doesn't work, try resetting the TV to the factory settings. You'll have to access the Menu, go to the Installation sub-menu and then select the System Status and then System Information. Select Factory Defaults and enter the PIN. See the manual for the default PIN if you haven't changed it. Then confirm the reset. The manual is available from the product support page: http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=2841536 . The direct link to the manual is http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/manuals/userguides/su2846615/42hl196_om_e.pdf . See page 29 for the PIN. Then try accessing the Terrestrial menu and scanning for channels.

I hope this helps.

I'm setting up a new 42KE5300 and when I turn it on it goes to an LG logo with time input field. I can't enter the time and I can't get past this screen!? The screen flashes and the logo turns upside down...

LG has a general manual that is supposed to cover most of their recent European region models. On page 170, it says if you are receiving a digital TV signal while in AUTO mode, the time is set to GMT plus a time zone/country offset that you can program in manually.

Have you verified that your remote control is working? If you can't turn the set on or off with the remote control, it may have a dead or improperly installed battery (I know it's "new" but I have seen dead batteries in new devices before).

According to the manual (page 76), you should be able to bring up the primary menu by pressing the Menu button, then you can press one of the four-way navigation buttons to step to a sub-menu. Next, you press OK to select the sub-menu. Use the up and down buttons to select the menu sub-items (these are not the up and down buttons on the four-way selector). If none of this works, and you have a known good battery in the remote control, then you probably have a defective product or it is locked into some sort of store demo mode.

Trying out program library. Cannot find "FRAC" command within the menu system or owners manual... can you help?

First of all you have a key marked [a b/c]. It is in the first column of keys, below the [X,theta, T] key and above the 7 digit key. Its second (shifted) function is [d/c] These two keys are used to enter mixed numbers and improper fractions.
8cbba48.jpg

The command is also accessed from the menus.

  1. In Run screen press [OPTN]
  2. Press [F6] to move to next page of menus.
  3. Press [F4:NUM]
  4. Among the menu Tabs at the bottom of screen there is the Frac Menu.
  5. Press [F3:Frac] to access it.

Panasonic NV-SJ205 Changing Rf ?

ok. This is a really easy one.
All you have to do is hold down the menu button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds, If that doesnt work hold down the power button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds. If that doesnt work hold down the power button on the actual vcr unit for 15 seconds. The first method should work for Panasonic's fine.
This will then display your current rf output.
You can then change the output by using the up and down arrows or the channel up and down button on your remote or the vcr unit.
Press menu button to save or the same button you used to bring up the rf opposition eg power button on remote or the unit.

all the best. Top tech

Dont kno how to record

Connect your cable from the wall to the RF IN on the back of pd-dvr100
Connect your RF OUT on the back of your pd-dvr100 with a coaxial cable not included to the RF IN on your cable box
Connect the red, yellow, and white RCA Cable to the front or back of your TV
and to the audio out and video out on your pd-dvr100
Press the SETup button on your remote use the up and down buttons to select the channel scan sub menu
select IRC for your tuner input source
select scan and press Enter
The recorder can now record all scanned channels onto your dvd+r when you press the record button
I only got it to record the scanned channels.
The good thing is you can record on another station while you are watching a show on your cable box.
