Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player

1 Answer

Doesn't turn on

My sandisk mp3 player won't turn on unless it is plugged in.  It works just fine when it's plugged in, but as soon as I unplug it, it shuts off.  When it is on and plugged in, it says the battery is full. I've had the player less than 6 months.

Make sure it is the right thing.
I tried to use an extension cable for
mine and It won't work with it.
I don't understand it!

No ext fine, use ext no fine.

It could be the wrong cable/connector.

My portable DVD player doesn't turn on unless it is plugged in. I have left it to charge for days and it works fine but as soon as it is unplugged it turns off.

This is a common issue with devices with rechargeable batteries, the battery will eventually lose its charge and need to be replaced, or be plugged in constantly to remain on.

Unplug the sansa and turn it off. Then plug it back into your computer. If it still doesn't recognize it, unplug it and change the usb setting, make sure you highlight it and then press the inner circle or it might change back into the other setting. This worked for me.
