Question about LG WM2016C
We have an LG WM2016 washer - about 3-months old; previously we had a Whirlpool top-load set.
The LG front load washer does not clean our clothes, and I'm wondering if there's something wrong.
Whites, especially, are not getting clean. We've tried nearly all combinations of settings (soil level, extra water, pre-wash, temperatures, different detergents (and detergent amounts)) and we can still take a pair of socks 'clean' from our front-load (still with dirt stains), run them through a friends top-load, and have them come out looking far cleaner.
Is there possibly a problem with the washer? Everything I've read indicates that front-loads should clean better than top-loads!
I don't know anyone who thinks the front loader is better except for stacking things on top of...
Certainly the performance of the modern water-saving front-loader is questionable when compared to earlier models - which is why I think a wash takes much longer these days with a modern machine, I think it has to in order to be effective. My friend's new front loader can take a couple of hours to complete a programme and it is only a washer and not a waser/drier.
The older washers used to take everything that could be pushed inside and the laundry would emerge smiling. These days overloading is a complete taboo and should be weighed to ensure nothing is strained.
Your washer might have a fault but in the final analysis you made a contract with a retailer to, in return for a consideration, supply you with a washer to clean your laundry. The supplied washer doesn't clean the laundry in spite of your best efforts and that means the retailer has broken the contract. It is up to him to sort matters out to your satisfaction.

SOURCE: LG TROMM WM 2077CW LE Error
An LE error is a locked rotor. The hall sensor on the stator part of the motor is not sensing the rotor part of the motor is turning. So the short version is you need a new stator(which has the sensor on it or just the sensor) replaced which should have a 5 year warranty on it so call LG for your nearest authorized service center

the grease i'm sure would be coming from the machine. look at the water solenoids, detergent dispenser, dispenser solenoids, everything with rubber hoses.
they do put a clear grease just to insert the hose easier in the plant. and if it was not removed during QC, then it would come out now as you uses it.
tnx 4 using fixya,

Make sure you are washing at the correct temp, and that you have the correct prog selected for what you are washing. and that you have suficient powder and or detergent in. Check to see if the water is getting hot, because if it is not , then the heater may not be working, and then your clothes will not be clean.
Hope this helps with your prob.
Plz rate my solution.

SOURCE: Spots on clothes after washing
Put another filter on before the washer. Try to find out if it is in the hot water or the cold. If it is the cold try a filter. If it is the hot, replace your hot water tank.

The smell usually comes
when the washer is unable to drain water completely, you can run your washer at
its hottest temperature setting with 1 cup of vinegar inside the unit. After
this take off the bottom front panel and clean it completely, also clean the
drain hose and drain pump filter, the smell should disappear after doing all
this. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
